PIRATES
Re: PIRATES
Unintentional, yes. Although, the Pirates could be considered a PARODY of a true MLB franchise. You dug deep into the vault of 9th grade English grammar lessons on homophones to pull that one out. I'll wear it though, my error. Thanks for the correction.Manfred wrote: May 11th, 2025, 7:48 pm LOL! I hope your last statement was an unintentional Freudian Slip. 'parody' is more like it actually is. I infer you meant to say 'parity'.

Hahaha, I hated 9th grade English, but once branded into your brain......You are absolutely right about the "Pirate Parody".WallyPipp wrote: May 12th, 2025, 8:05 amUnintentional, yes. Re: PIRATES
Now they need to get rid of their hitting coach and the person or persons in charge of offensive philosophy and batting instruction at all levels.
Haven't scored more than 4 runs since April 20th something. Last in most offensive categories.
Pirates rank 2nd in NL in Quality Starts as a team and Skenes and Keller rank 2nd and 3rd in Quality Starts in NL.
9th overall in Team Pitching NL.
Who is in charge of hitting instruction etc.. for this organization? I wonder.

Re: PIRATES
I realize this could change in a matter of days, but as of now, the Pirates are ranked 5th in the NL in team pitching and are only behind the Padres in runs given up, and are 7th overall in MLB in team pitching. UGH if they had any sort of offense, they could maybe be flirting with .500 rt now.
Re: PIRATES
Where's Bubba? He'll save them. GOD help me, I actually watched the entire game of Paul Skenes' 6-0 win the other day. Not enough there to get juiced about, rest of the season. Oh well, the AAABA is in town next week for some actually exciting amateur baseball, then football camps start. Yay! Mainline Pharmacy vs New Orleans NORD Boosters in the final.
It ain't over until it's over.
Re: PIRATES
Someone still gets excited about the AAABA?
Re: PIRATES
More exciting to cheer amateurs and local players & future MLB'ers than the junk Nutting is trying to pedal.
It ain't over until it's over.

Re: PIRATES
Are you kidding me. 9-0 after first inning and lose 17-16 to the Rockies, worst team in MLB. Thank God football season starts soon.
