Fiction......Barefoot was much more valuable to his team than Harris was.

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a delaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary.
Impossible is nothing.
Impossible is nothing.
yeah Head roadie i said way back when i would start my team with Harris. Miller wasnt as good as everyone said he would be and Harris is the best athlete and MVP and whatnot in the county

so the outstanding argument is that barefoot was most valuable to his team. Then if u put barefoot on bedford's team and harris on ridges team, harris wins mvp???
I dont look at that as a valid argument. If JO-Bob plays for the special olympics and he is the best player on his team and they dont win without him, does that make him a better basketball player than harris?
If the award isnt best basketball player, if its just VALUABLE to their team award then harris shouldnt even care about it. I garantee he'd still rather play ball in bedford than in ridge.

valuable, as defined in the dictionary:
Val"u*a*ble\, a. 1. Having value or worth; possessing qualities which are useful and esteemed
now to me, troy had more qualities that were useful and esteemed and if say hypothetically they were both playing pro, i can garuantee u that troy would pull in a bigger paycheck than barefoot, which gives him more worth. i still stick to my argument that the mvp would be the guy that u pick first in gym class and the only people that would pick barefoot over troy are the few ridge boys that r too stubborn to recognize the better talent

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and they are both outstanding basketball players and athletes. To me Most Valuable Player and Outstanding Player are two different things, somewhat inter-related but this is where I feel (only my opinion) that some of your are misinterpreting.
Outstanding player is the guy you "pick first in gym class" and as I've stated before, I would pick Harris.
Most Valuable Player is the guy that while being a very good player has elevated his teams play and made them a championship of near-championship quality team.
Look at the T.C. Tip Off Tourney. Harris was outstanding....had a great performance in the finals. Adam Miller also played well, very well, and was the leader of the Warrior team that WON the tourney. He was the MVP.
Now the regular season. I think expectations at Bedford and C.R. were somewhat similar coming into the season. .500'ish for both. Did Harris play elevate the Bisons to above .500? No....and I'm not blaming him, some other people had to come through that apparently didn't. Did Barefoot's play elevate his team? Yes....They finished second in the SHL, had the title come down to one game at the end of the season at S.Fulton and won more games then they had won in many years and did go above expectations in the W/L category. And, Barefoot was the "catalyst" of that. So, in my humble opinion, He deserved the MVP award this year.

So a lot of earning the mvp depends on where u play not your skill level? So if ridge plays in the lhac he doesnt get mvp? If harris plays in the slh he does get mvp?

this goes against everything ive ever said but....could it be that ridge had an overall better TEAM than bedford (bless me Father, for i have sinned!) and that is why people give barefoot credit for "elevating" his team more than harris? i could be wrong, but no where will u find one player in any sport that can make a team great, it takes everyone working hard to achieve greatness...sure one person can help a team to gretness, but unless he is a pro playing elementary, then there is no way that the entire success or failure of that team will be because of him. i garuantee u if troy and barefoot were on the same team, there would be no way no how that barefoot would have been chosen as mvp. mvp is the guy that u want the most no matter what, and troy is that guy, not barefoot.
