Yes, more of the Bus...not the whole game but when the defense is tired ...use Bettis from midfield and let him barrel over people from there for a series...

They can not be having fun doing it that way, when they are winning, I can see them not speaking out about it, but if this trend continues, I can see Duce getting angered at this.

yeah, there is no reason for Bettis to be coming in when the Steelers make it to the goal line, while he sits on the sideline during the whole drive...keep the starter in, thats why they are there, to score the touchdowns...not to get taken out on the last play of a drive so some 3rd string running back can come in and take the touchdown from you.....If that is what the Steelers want, then put Bettis in the whole game rather than just 2 or 3 plays....it's really not fair to the starting back, in this case, Duce Staley, because I'm sure that he could run that ball in for 6 at the 1 yard line as well, if a quarterback can, well, then anyone can, so there is no reason for Jerome Bettis to be out there.....none at all....

You must not be watching the same Bus I have been. He now goes down on first contact, and he doesn't have the speed anymore to hit the holes before they close, thus enabling a 300 lb lineman or 280 lb linebacker to do the work, instead of a 210 lb safety or corner. I've always like the Bus and love what he did for the Steelers, but his time is done and he shouldn't be taking up a roster spot in place of a player that can provide more production.

Sometimes seeing bettis getting the tds after duce runs it to the 2, does make me mad. But i think they know that after this season, that wont be happeing, cause bettis will tip his hat and retire. At least thats what he should do. go out good with pittsburgh, and make your money in Pittsburgh, open up a bar, It will draw the crowds into it cause they could meet a steeler there.

ok - I said I'd admit it if I was wrong. I believe I was. After seeing Roth today, I'd say he should remain the starter and probably will be. It's been a long time since I've seen a rookie that poised, and so often, rookie QB's flop. I'd still like to see what he does against a better defense, like NE or Balt, but the kid is looking pretty darn good.

This is one that I don't mind being wrong on. If he keeps this up, the future is looking really bright for the black and gold.

He has already played for a half against Baltimore. 2 t.d.'s, 2 int's. I will be anxious to see how he responds in Dallas next week. Should be a good game. A rookie starting 3-0 is something to be proud of. He's the man, and will become even more so the man when he has time to grow. Roethlisberger was supposed to be the future of the Steelers, nobody knew that the future was now, and it sure is looking good.

I'd wait until he actually beats someone good before you brag him up too much. Oh wait, do the Steelers even play anyone any good? They have to have the easiest schedule in the league. But they still won't make the playoffs.

Once they beat those two teams, you let me know how good Big Ben is. I just think everyone is getting all hyped up for a big let down. Look at Penn State this year. They beat a few crappy teams, and everyone thought top 25. Now look at them. So you come back to me when they beat New England and Philadelphia.
