Football is about action and movement. Unless you consciously focus on a particular segment of the game you automatically will be drawn to the activity.

I like to see a good block. I like to see guys get really blown out of the way  ...not somebody just running down the field and people chasing him.
Without the block, there is no run, watching the pancake block by the eagles D lineman yesterday on the int. run back was crazy, he flattened a 300+ lb offensive lineman.
I think this is the first time that Ham and I agreed on something!!! AMAZING!!!

The book says play for the tie, and if you lose in OT it's bad luck.
But play for the victory in regulation and lose? You're a bad coach
the only way a block gets recognized if it is hard enough to have the guy getting hit talking to his 1st grade teacher on the field! but if its just containing someone or a small hit to get the block, most of the time it will go unnoticed.
Thats why lineman watch lineman during game day, thats where all the action goes on, and I make it a point to let the people around me know when linemen do something good, but then again, to let them know when they mess up...

I know what you're saying Ham, I especially love it when a 50 year old armchair QB gripes about line blocking on a sack when the defense sent 2 people on a blitz and one lone guy gets through(past 1 or 2 rbs to boot) for the pressure and the line is deemed "not doing their job". It's almost funny sometimes to sit and listen to it.
