Shot Put
Re: Shot Put
I know it's early in the season but has anyone broke out over 53 feet yet?
Re: Shot Put
Not in the immediate area that i know of at this time. And if you would somehow get the chance, watch a meet with Central Dauphin. Their thrower had a 69 foot throw indoors. He purposely scratched a 62 foot put because it "wasnt good enough" Very impressive to watch.

Re: Shot Put
Wouldn't 69 feet be a state indoor record, if not national? Wow! Is this the school from eastern Pennsylvania with all those huge buff kids? I recall a guy throwing 61'9" and it was the fifth best in the nation ever indoor I think. The barriers were placed at 70 feet, and his shot often bounced over them and into the 'public' area (where the competing teams were chilling). Oh, by the way, hello Parks.
And 11:30 would likely not be a Distric 6 mark for qualifying, but last I heard, it was the time required for District 5....

I know most of these throws have been coming indoors. Does anyone know the mark for outdoors right now in the season.

Boyer is from Ridge. And yeah everyone should watch out. Especially that Harris kid.
