Yes. She has a working brain. She is more important. The end.

Now so you all know, Moldo worships his own religion where he is right and everyone else is wrong. He seems to think it is Christianity as it was meant to be, and because he thinks he is right, that definately means you are all wrong. He doesn't need proof. He is right because he is. Jesus talks to him I suppose. There is no other way he could have all the answers. Maybe he should sell his message on ebay. I saw a man doing that once.

Moldo, I have presented you an arguement where the bible and science could go hand in hand to create the earth. Your arguement against it was something along the lines of "how bout the bible happened as it was written. I bang dogs." Lovely arguement.

I just heard some kid in the NCAA finals say the other day that he prayed at halftime and Jesus came through for him again. Congratulations. As Kurt Warner, Bible thumping quarterback, once said after his Super Bowl win:

"THANK YOU, JEEESSSSSSUUUUSSSSSSS!!!!!"

Where's DCP today? Did he hurt himself falling out of his chair last night? Guess he didn't take my explanation of why you should take the Bible literally too seriously. I put alot of thought into it and thought it was rather good. Anyhow, As far as runner picking and choosing which parts of the Bible are true, DCP said that runner "doesn't believe that everything happened word for word". Good deductive reasoning tells me that he therefore thinks that some of the Bible is MADE UP. Therefore, again, he must somehow be determining which parts are true and which parts aren't. And henceforth, he is PICKING AND CHOOSING WHICH PARTS ARE TRUE! See how easy that was. And besides, runner is a big boy now. He doesn't need DCP to explain his views to anyone.

Hey, I read a joke today on deductive reasoning...

Neighbor 1: "Hi, there, new neighbor, it sure is a mighty nice day to be moving."
New Neighbor: "Yes, it is, and people around here seem extremely friendly."
Neighbor 1: "So what is it you do for a living?"
New Neighbor: "I am a professor at the University; I teach deductive reasoning."
Neighbor 1: "Deductive reasoning-- what is that?"
New Neighbor: "Let me give you an example. I see you have a dog house out back. By that I deduce that you have a dog."
Neighbor 1: "That is right."
New Neighbor: "The fact that you have a dog leads me to deduce that you have a family."
Neighbor 1: "Right again."
New Neighbor: "Since you have a family I deduce that you have a wife."
Neighbor 1: "Correct!"
New Neighbor: "And since you have a wife, I can deduce that you are heterosexual."
Neighbor 1: "Yup."
New Neighbor: "That is deductive reasoning."
Neighbor 1: "Cool."

Later that same day

Neighbor 1: "Hey, I was talking to that new guy who moved in next door."
Neighbor 2: "Is he a nice guy?"
Neighbor 1: "Yes, and he has an interesting job."
Neighbor 2: "Oh, what does he do?"
Neighbor 1: "He's a professor of deductive reasoning at the University."
Neighbor 2: "Deductive reasoning-- what is that?"
Neighbor 1: "Let me give you an example. Do you have a dog house?"
Neighbor 2: "No."
Neighbor 1: "Fag."

God has His own plan for things, we don't know them...only He does. I never said my cousin was more important than Terri Schaivo, don't try to put words in my mouth D-nice. Is Terri Schaivo more important then my cousin? Why is it always God's fault when something bad happens? And then when something good happens it's not God...it's for some other reason; science, luck, etc... My cousin's cancer was gone, but it obviously couldn't be because He saved her...now if she would have died, then it would have been God's fault for letting her die. He has His plans, and maybe something happens that we don't understand or like because it might hurt emotionally or even sometimes physically, but God knows what He's doing. If we endure through it then we can only grow stronger and in the end we will see what His plan was and how much better it worked out. I've had relatives that have had cancer and died from it, we prayed for them the same as we prayed for my cousin...but they still died. And when they did, we didn't blame God for it, it was hard yes...but our beliefs are that they are in a better place.

El Moldo, you aren't using deductive reasoning at all. Deductive reasoning requires two premises to draw a conclusion. You draw a conclusion from only one statement (if you don't take the bible literally, you must pick and choose what you believe). That's like saying if you like ketchup, you'll like tomatoes. That may be your experience, but it doesn't make it true for everyone.

We've already covered that the parables Jesus spoke were stories that were not true, but used to teach a lesson. I already stated that I find everything in the Bible relevant. It also a purpose to teach us something. If I learned a valuable lesson from Noah's Ark, what does it matter if it really happened or not? Just like the parables, it's the lesson that is important.

And no, I don't believe you have to take the Bible literally to go to heaven. Since you have yet to answer, I'll ask again.....what do you think?

guys...seriously...end it already. No one is going to win. The science people will believe what they believe and the religous will believe what they believe. You aren't going to sway either group one way or another.

the only thing i have left to say is from the bible. "Thomas, you believe because you have seen. Blessed are those who have not seen, but still believe."

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

Like I said before, if God hates everyone who isn't Christian and he loves his little flock that is unaccepting of other's beliefs... send me someplace else when I die. Maybe that's what purgatory is. A place where people like me go who aren't bad enough to rot in Hell. That's fine. I can handle the medium amounts of pain in purgatory if that's the other choice than a place where unaccepting elitists all sit on clouds and talk about how awesome they are. Forget it.

But don't be stupid enough to think that's how God works. Come to my side of the mountain where everyone is welcome as long as they aren't killers and rapists. Any one who can accept others for who they are, and not lead a bad life, you are welcome in Heaven as far as I'm concerned.
