when I watched the highlights last night on tv, I knew someone was going to talk about the field conditions and say it would have been a different game if the field had been different...

this score didn't surprise me...it's amazing the talk about this side of the mountain and that side....I really think some need to get out more...

I wasn't surprised either. What surprised me was how medicore FH was. They have absolutely no speed. They are lucky the field conditions were poot or they would have been beaten worse. The FH kids played hard but no speed.

For the record, it wasn't anyone from FH that used field conditions as an excuse. I'm not saying you implied that, but things tend to mutate on here as time goes on.

I originally thought the field conditions would favor FH. The 3 and out's the run all the time would work well in this type of game, especially if you can get a DB to slip down after the catch and pick up some valuable YAC yardage...

...I was wrong. FH tried that, but Franco just flew around everywhere. He's on hell of a football player. And #21, he's a threat to go the distance everytime he gets the ball in his hands.

If BM wins tonight, that's gonna be one heck of a game on the carpet. We'll see how easy #21 gets the corner and then just runs, like he did numerous times last night.

Tyrone is good. So is Bishop McCort. I hope that McCort holds up it's end of the deal in making this game possible.

I have a nice little trivia question that I have no idea what the answer is...

When was the last time no LHAC team was in the District 5/6 Championship Game?

Where are the loud mouths at that said FH would win. Anyone with an inkling of an idea about football could have predicted that score. Again, it must be a thing with that side of the mt. All talk and excuses when you don't perform.

I predicted an FH win... All you are doing Bigman is taking away from a big Tyrone win. The reason most people on here predicted an FH win is because this is dominantly a LHAC site (notice the forum title). That being said... on to the game.

Tyrone is a very good football team. They always are. I'm going to pick them to win the District 6 title because I don't think BM has enough to beat them (I'm not counting P-O out either...just saying). Anytime FH/Tyrone get together in a game, the winner usually ends up with the District Title. The only excuses I'm seeing is that they made too many mistakes early. And you can't do that against a good team and win. I believe Tyrone would of beaten them without the quick lead, but it would of been a lot closer.

Good luck Eagles!

Well put Flak...Bigman, I'm not sure how saying these teams don't perform, I mean all Forest Hills did last year was the district..Also, I have yet to see any excuses from anyone..From Ridge to FH, they have pretty much all said they lost to a better team..
It takes me 2 hours to watch 60 minutes.

Great year Fh, i though that Rearick had a great career at Fh and i hope he ends up in college somewhere as yet another great prospect from this area.

As for Tyrone, they looked real strong and had some good speed. After that game, they convinced me that they are the favorite to win D6 AA. If McCort wins tonight, that is going to be an awesome matchup between W. Jones, and Kawchak vs the very strong Tyrone Line....MMMM gotta love great football mid-NOV!!

There surely aren't any excuses coming from the OG...Tyrone was the better team.

The only time I pick against FH is when I don't think they have any chance of winning. If FH played the perfect game, and made a couple of plays early, they could have knock off the Eagles.

However, none of the above happened. When FH got on the board and it looked like we were about to have a ball game, Tyrone answered with a kickoff return for a touchdown. What can you say...Tyrone again was on another level than Forest Hills was.

One thing that can be said about Tyrone, all 11 kids on that field play hard every single play. It is a real tribute to Coach Franco and his staff that they have their kids play as hard as what they do. This is two times in a row (03 title game and Friday night) that Tyrone has embarrassed the Rangers.

It will be one heck of a District title game between McCort and Tyrone. I think McCort has the edge talent wise, but Tyrone knows how to win at Mansion, and McCort better plan on bringing it for 4 quarters if they hope to hang with the Golden Eagles.

To the Rangers...especially the Seniors: You guys have nothing to be ashamed of. A district 6 championship last year, and a 9-3 record after replacing your entire skill positions from a year ago (except for QB). You all certainly left your mark on FH football.
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!

The last time a LHAC team wasn't in the AA final is 2000;(Tyrone vs Bellwood)
