Give Palko and L-rod 4 first half turnovers (like the Spartans got).....and maybe Wanny's boys from Pitt does the job at Happy Valley in '06. Otherwise, like AE said, no way Palko beats Joe Pa's crew.(or T. Bradley's or G Hall's or whoever was in charge.)

If Donovan McNabb, Dwight Freeney, Marvin Harrison, Donovan Darius, and Jim Brown all played for Syracuse, Pitt wouldn't have beaten them. Nice argument. Next?

Isn't Jim Brown a little old to be playing fb?

Reminds me of an interview with Ted Williams, when he was like 80 yrs old. A reporter lamented how much $$ Ted would make in today's market.
The reporter then asked, ''If you played today, what would you're batting average be" Ted responded "I don't know maybe 280/290"...the reporter exclaimed that the pitching & fielding couldn't be that much better, now a days...."Yea but I'm 80 years old" Ted said!

And speaking of very old...with Barovelli @ the helm & Professor Wagstaff calling the shots, UPS was a threat to blow every game!

And for the younger posters that have no clue who I'm talking about....do yourselves a favor > rent Horse Feathers & maybe Duck Soup over the Thanksgiving W/E & enjoy some real comedy (although I am a big Dave Chappelle fan).

Vman is just becoming overwhelmed with Holiday cheer, good wishes & sentiments!

Pitt has lost to OHIO UNIVERSITY, USF, and UCONN the past 2 years.

Were any of them ranked in the top 10 at the time off the game? Nope.

Why is a 4 loss Penn State squad ranked in the top 25 of the BCS if they're so horrible!

Good question, why is UPS given any recognition at all.
Played 4 good teams - 4 Ls.
Played horribly vs Minny & MSU - lucky to win.
All & all an awful performance!
Worst 8-4 team in modern day fb.

Another Big 10 note.....Wisc. is thee most overrated team in D1!

Vman, have you experienced any trauma in your life? Trauma is defined: "A sudden, unexpected and nonnormative event that overwhelms a person's perceived ability to cope. And at the same time causes physiological arousal, and the most critical feature of it is that it produces a debilitating sense of helplessness and loss of control." Your symptoms are stunning: Persistent intrusions and re-experiencing of memories related to trauma (see the picture you posted on a different thread), active avoidance of specific triggers of trauma-related emotions (not answering specific questions directed at you in numerous other threads)

The reason I ask this is your hypervigilance over Penn State football and your overprotection of Pitt football. The extreme negative reactive comments towards Penn State football also contributes. I suggest that you may be suffering from a form of PTSD. PTSD can take on two different forms, 1) PSTD from a single traumatic event example: Penn State playing in a BCS game last year or 2) PTSD from repeated traumas examples: any Pitt loss to Penn State and Pitt's inability to compete and win the Big East. If this goes unchecked you may find yourself suffering from PDSD (Prolonged Duress Stress Disorder)

Okay, let's look @ this objectively: Ability to cope?
Look Good', I gotta deal with a lot of N'wits & Ranger nutz on here, don't I! No problem in that area!

A debilitating sense of helplessness and loss of control?
Nah, never felt helpless & always in control! I'm like the Blues Bros.....On a Mission from God (Xy will appreciate that one)!

Persistent intrusions and re-experiencing of memories related to trauma (see the picture you posted on a different thread)?
Sorry, I like that picture...looks about the same as when I matriculated to college & once visited the good ol' University of Penn St..... & still does!!

Active avoidance of specific triggers of trauma-related emotions (not answering specific questions directed at you in numerous other threads)?
I resemble that remark....hardly, again I deal with all the delusional Blue & White and Green & Gold propaganda presented here; strictly in a factual manner!

You may be suffering from a form of PTSD.1) PSTD from a single traumatic event example: Penn State playing in a BCS game last year or 2) PTSD from repeated traumas examples: any Pitt loss to Penn State and Pitt's inability to compete and win the Big East. If this goes unchecked you may find yourself suffering from PDSD (Prolonged Duress Stress Disorder)

Re. #1, I think UPS earned their bowl bid last yr. but even Pitt got a BCS bid a couple yrs ago..
Now #2, Any Pitt loss to Penn State? Uhhh, I really don't think I have Post anything; what I do suffer from is SMD... Selective Memory Disorder. You see it is very common in those of us over fifty. Therefore my last & lingering memory of the PITT/UPS series only goes back to 2000 & PITT put up 12 points to UPS's Bagel!

But - Hey thanks for caring & have a wonderful Holiday W/E!
