i'm pretty sure thats how it was or hyndman made it to the finals 1 year and was supposed to win it that year and got upset

because i think i was a freshmen or a sophomore and i've been out of school since 2004

I am pretty sure they were ranked number 1 that year. It was my freshman year, so that would have been 2002.

hyndman has never won a district championship. the only team in the county to win a district title since the induction of the new format is Bedford, ridge has a few from waaaaaaaaaaay back in the day when the district was composed of Farmer Johnson High School and Cletus T Judd High school. in the modern era though, Bedford is the only school with a district soccer title. hyndman came in second a few years back then lost a squeaker in the opening round of states (because for some idiotic reason, district 5 sends the champ and the runner up to states).

anywho, NBC has no playoff experience, and given their recent form (0-1-1) id say they have no shot at the title, they peaked too early and are now paying the consequence, going 0-1-1 into the playoffs has a big impact mentally, especially given the experience factor.

Gunner, as of last year D5 had a spot taken away from them. Now only the champions are represented in state playoffs.

nbc has playoff experience there gunner just not as much as say bedford
they won 2 and lost 2 in the playoffs so far
and they just missed beating ct last year in the semis and i think it was in ot
the score was 3-2ct

and the last 2 games
anything can happen at rockwood they seem to like to play dirty at least whenever i played and when i say dirty i mean the refs don't care!
and they called the game after 1 ot so the outcome could have been different
and the loss they had was in double ot and whoever made the shot was the winner in sudden death so not too shabby and from what i hear that shot from mcconelsburg was like the shot of the year...lol from like 25 yards back and over everybody into the upper right corner of the goal
and scott suiters is an extremely good goalie
and it is mcconellsburg after all
so i don't think nbc has peaked yet by any means
but we will see after the hyndman game

anywho, of those 4 playoff games, how many has the average starter for the team played in? maybe im wrong and most of them have played all 4, if so good for them. but they still dont have the experience of the finals. CT does, they understand the reffing and the way the finals work, that gives them the edge. not to mention the fact that nbc reaching the finals would probably have all their kids as giddy as school girls whereas ct would just consider it another year. i know when my team made it to states, we were so thrilled just to have won districts that we actually shot ourselves in the foot come states, but we didnt care, we lost that game 4-1 but on the bus ride back you woulda thought that we just won the state title or something...just being there was something special for us. and thats the same way nbc will be if they make it to the final.

Well, I was reading over this and Deuce2 your attempted bashing on D6wrestler was just stupid. You said something along the lines of "You guys won those titles when you were ranked 1st and now your not NBC is 1." Basically you tried to totally bash d6 because you think he goes to CT? Well if you read his previous post, he goes to richland NOT CT.

Anyways, I do think NBC will fair well in the playoffs but...they will lose. It seems as late they have not been playing well and someone could pull off quite an upset by beatin them.
