Well, she would have shown more knowledge by saying something like, well, it was real great seeing how Fred Halbig and Brian Barefoot worked together to move the team down the field.

ahh yes, because I point out facts, now I'm sexist. Listen to re-runs of all the football shows ever, and you tell me if they have ever said manuver anywhere at any point in time on any show.

I cant quote an exact instance but I am sure the word maneuver has been used. In reference to Barry Sanders, Jerry Rice, Jim Brown, etc.

Does anymore have a sense of humor anymore? And yes, I have heard "maneuver" used by football analysts once in a while. Considering that the definition of the word is "planned or controlled movement or series of moves" and that it's also a military term too -- it now seems to be a perfectly fine part of the football lexicon. We owe this girl a debt of gratitude for bringing the word to our attention.

So getting back to the topic CR Football!!! This is pretty much how my junior season went in the playoffs....
Coaches love overtime because it makes things easy. The book says play for the tie, and if you lose in OT it's bad luck. But play for the victory in regulation and lose? You're a bad coach. NFL.com

Well Guess what we played for the win in regulation and lost so take it as you will but I thought this was a pretty good example!!!

Apparently he's trying to say that overtime is a fickle thing and Ridge would sooner lose than play another series on defense. I have no idea the relevance of that post LionLine. None whatsoever.

The general rule of thumb for overtime, in all sports, On the road, play for the win, at home, play for overtime...

Well Dawg I guess what I am trying to say is this......33 secs. to go in a playoff game ( our first ever home playoff game) we score it makes it 19-18! Players want to go for 1 and send it to overtime coach says NO we are going for 2! We say Ok but instead of a power run up the middle to get in coach decides to draw up a trick play in the dirt that got us absolutely nowhere and we lost the game in regulation by 1 point!!! I believe that was my point Ham!!!
