Hey deliverance you must have missed the liberal memo on changing the name "global warming" to "climate change". Climate Change is the new liberal buzzword as the Planet is no longer warming and even some liberal zealot scientists are predicting a "cooler" planet the next 20-30 years.

And while Obama is restoring our economy, I'm sure that God is pleased with his stance on abortion, gay marriage, stem cell research, handouts for those who don't work, taking God out of our culture, embracing countries that are NOT supporting Israel, and telling everyone that we are NOT a Christian nation. And of course, we can't forget that Obama is too busy to attend church on Sundays. Guess that's God's will too.

This is what I like to call the conservative paradox. Where do I start?

Israel This to me makes the least sense. So much so that I would ask that it be explained to me in a rational way, which coincides with the values that this country hopes to promote.

Then if you are a TRUE christian, you should be on here criticizing Obama's stance on the top moral issues of the day and FORGET about the economy. It is SECONDARY to the inflammatory moral issues of the day.

If you are a true Christian, you should not eat fish on Fridays. If you are a true Christian, you should not ask why the Bishop, a servant of the Lord, has a personal chef--why scandals are being covered up with millions of dollars in settlements while Churches in Cambria City rot due to a lack of financial backing. If you are a true Christian, you should attend Church on Sundays (Whether you sing, pray, or pay the slightest attention matters not-- as long as your peers know that you are a true Christian).

Sorry, but you are wrong about this...especially the death penalty part. First of all, it says in the bible that:

Exodus 21:24 An eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth.

Jeremiah 51:56 For the Lord is a god of retribution, He will repay in full.

Genesis 9:6 Whoever sheds the blood of a man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man.

Numbers 35:31 Do not accept ransom for the life a murderer, who deserves to die. He must surely be put to death.

Now, it all also says thou shalt not murder, which by the definition of murder means: to kill someone inhumanely, barbariously, or unjustly

Most reputable doctors would say that upon conception, THERE IS human life inside the womb.

So, the Death penalty is JUST, while ABORTION is murder....that why we, as Christians, have to take that stand on abortion.

...username6 also wants to know why there is condemnation of handouts for people. Nobody wants to deny anyone the simple necessities of life, such as food, clothing, and shelter. There are some people down in their luck, who need help to survive. But what about others receiving handouts? Listen to what Paul had to say in 2 Thessalonians:6-10

A MORE RATIONAL ANSWER???????? In those 2 example I just gave, the Bible doesn't say X and imply Y, it says X and implies X !!!!!!! Two quotes from the BIBLE is rational enough for most of us.

You can interpret the bible any number of ways. Our nation was not founded on freedom "of" religion but freedom "from" religion. There is a difference I tried to articulate the other night.
