Did I read that Stull has a higher QB rating than Clark?

The Heisman is nothing more than a popularity contest. It rarely relates to direct success at the next level.

its usually the best player on the best team. Clark and Clausen have already been eliminated.

I certainly agree with both on the popularity contest but stats do play a role......and beside, the passer ratings for Clausen and Stull are better than Clarks. That is pretty much black and white...no pun intended.

Not to back up Notre Dame, but if Clausen is eliminated, then Stull is definitely eliminated. He's getting barely any national attention whatsoever and that is important in the Heisman race.

Honestly, where is this going?.......Bill Stull and Heisman are mentioned in the same posts consecutively. Are you kidding me? No offense to Bill Stull or anyone on here, but come on now...I had to say something...the mere fact that Bill Stull and the word Heisman are mentioned in the back to back sentences reminds me of this famous quote from one of the best movies of all time.....
"Mr. Madison, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

Any time you get a Billy Madison quote on a Friday, the weekend has to be fantastic that's upcoming. Nice work.

Exactly why the Heisman is one of sports most pointless awards. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any that carries less weight. Unless you're looking for a bust in the NFL, look elsewhere to find the true superstars of college football.

the fact that any of these 3 QB's would be mentioned is pretty ridiculous
But Stull is playing the best of the 3

The Heisman will pretty much come down to Tim Tebow and Colt McCoy unless their teams really start to falter. One is already a Heisman winner and the other is a Heisman runner-up. It would take a lot of work to pass either one of those guys. I wouldn't say the Heisman is a meaningless award as it will help you with recruiting at that position. However, it's definitely not an idicator of future success in the NFL.
