I fully grasp your explanation, TAE. No need to explain it. Attendance does get undeserving teams like PSU in the BCS because it's about the almighty dollar.

Does that make it right?

Does fan attendance insure that the best teams make the BCS?

Would it be a travesty is PSU is chosen for the BCS over Iowa, who MANHANDLED PSU on the field in their own stadium?

Titan... Fiesta and Orange are not in this business to reward teams who do not travel well. Life sucks, get a helmet. Better yet, win over time and build your fanbase like Penn State, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, and ND have all done.

TAE...Win over time? Build a large fan base like PSUs when there are 20% as many alums? Look at Miami's attendance, and the reasoning there, which you seem to conveniently ignore, and get back to me.

Didn't you like my explanation?

Comparing Miami to Pittsburgh    Pittsburgh is a football town. It is very much old school America. Miami has more people interested in foreign played soccer than they do football.

FYI, Columbus, Ohio is a city.

No sports really do well in Miami, Titan. Its all Puerto Ricans and old people.

Pittsburgh however, is absolutely a football town, and Pitt's attendance is atrocious.

I do believe he meant that if Iowa would have just beat OSU in OT then they would be going to the Rose and wouldn't have to worry about it. Do they deserve it more than PSU? Of course, but I probably deserved a scholarship for college over some other students with lesser grades, but they got it for other reasons, such as socioeconomics, just like PSU might get the invite when there are those ahead of them more "deserving." The world is not AYSO (thank God) and everyone doesn't win and get fair treatment...college football sure isn't going to be!

You can't just use head to head as a criteria of who is the better candidate for a bowl. Using this philosophy means that USC should be in a better bowl than Ohio State, NC State should be in a better bowl than Pitt, Oklahoma should be in a better bowl than Oklahoma State, Purdue should be in a better bowl than Ohio State, NW should be in a better bowl than Iowa, ect. This isn't the NFL where head-to-head becomes the tiebreaker.

I think Pitt's attendance has something to do with these factors.

-Pitt's record Last 25 years 154-153- 5
-Sandcastle
-Kennywood
-Primanti Brothers
-Fatheads
-SaddleRidge
-Bridges
-Mcfaddens
-Playstation 3
