Wow Altoona did lose a lot from last year. Does anybody know where Lytle went. I know Raymond is at Juniata.

What I saw was a team loaded with talent. I mean they got guys just flying around out there. What I also seen was a team with no direction. I mean how many times are you going to come down and shoot after the first pass, or most times no passes. Then they looked like manikins playing when Altoona went zone just standing no ball movement no idea on how to attack the zone. I'm not in the locker room I don't know if the players are just not listening or the coaches are just not instructing. I would have to think if the players were not listening then they would be on the bench.

Altoona was terrible; if I had to take a guess they will only win 7 to 8 wins the rest of the season. They definitely out coached Johnstown though hands down.......

It was 44 37 when I left with a couple seconds on the clock. I don't know if that was the final or not. They didn't press just man to man, offensively I don't know what you want to call that. Both sides was pretty bad in that category

I'm not going to bash the coach already. Even though they are 1-2, easily could be 0-3, but from what I'm reading It just shows you can't just keep putting lame duck coaches in at Johnstown expecting to win. No matter how good the kids are, and they are very talented bunch of basketball players.

It's early, cut the coaches a break, I'm pretty sure they didn't start this thread. A few things to think about regarding the Trojans: 3rd coach in 3 years, a little behind due to extended football season, there young

truth, you must be a hater. Lame duck coaches? Shipman, Fuschino, Roman, almost 500 wins between them. Now I'll wait for your "they won because the had great players" response.

Let's keep in mind new coach for Altoona, has a younger team and is not as good as Johnstown. No excuses they just lost!!!!!! It's not the pllayers fault the basketball coach is also the football coach. That's what causes a late season they only started 1 week later smart guy.

I wasn't just talking about Boys Basketball. But since we are on the subject Fuschino was terrible and there is no way that combine these coaches have 500 wins. Second the wrestling coach is terrible, the girl’s basketball coach is terrible, and not too many people are fond of the head Football Coach as well. I personally think he is ok though he just needs his own staff. Now that is 4 coaches in major sports that are under achieving, numbers don't lie. You can't really count Roman because he left after 1 year, they hired a guy who wasn't loyal to the program and that's what happens. That's what I mean by lame duck coach. How long will this coach last 1 year maybe? Maybe he will leave after he sees there is no talent left and then quit or resign.

Word of advice for Johnstown find a coach that is willing to stick it out, good or bad.

yeah tough to criticize coaches but from what I've heard about their preseason and summer. You can blame the coaches. Teams play long football seasons all the time. McCort is playing without 9 players this week due to football and I know they will be at least prepared for what is thrown at them. Potential McCort-Johnstown game Saturday at UPJ. Might be time to start talking about that
