Re: Richlands O-Line
2011 was winning season #31 in a row. So according to you they've been recruiting since 1980? Man, if a school cheats for that long without getting caught then kudos.crfball wrote:Maybe the winning tradition is there because of the first recruiting class they had to start the winning??

Old guy says it best and so do your own alumni maybe they dont wanna bash Mcruit maybe they just know its wrong as well so they gotta get it off their chest by going to private schools as their form of confession

Re: Richlands O-Line
It takes a real simpleton to not know that this is going on.Whether kids come there on their own to form a super team or a coach asks them, which happened in track, it is all a form of recruiting. That is deemed illegal by the PIAA. It's not like a task force with undercover cameras are gonna jump on this.Where is all the money to make these busts gonna come from? Once again lets face facts here. the diocese in Pittsburgh admitted the problem a few years back.A few thick headed people like you choose to turn your head and look the other way. It goes on period end of story!sportsfan1000 wrote:Usatf oldguy,
Then prove it happens in football. Turning every thread on this site into a conversation about how mccort recruits helps noone. If you have the goods then expose them and name names!!!
Re: Richlands O-Line
I think it is a little of both because kids do want to go there and play because they do have a better chance to make it into college from the better program than a c.v or richland program that has been down for awhile. Guys made it to d-1 schools and the pros from mccort. You can't say that for a lot of the other schools around here except for like j-town. It probably is a better education there also. But on the other end, I guarantee you a lot is left untold of how these players got the chance to switch schools. Mccort is noted for good football. And all a coach has to do is reach out to a good player behind the scenes and promise the world to a young kid and sell them on mccort and it is a no brainer as to what program you have the best chance to get a look.jmo It does go on at most catholic schools. That is why the catholic schools are always good programs in all sports. It is a little of both going on.

Re: Richlands O-Line
You keep crying about it and we'll do our best to beat them. Which I may add we do on a regular basis in basketball and have had some recent success in football. That is how you get your kids to stay put, not crying about it.
Re: Richlands O-Line
I heard a pretty good basketball player who is in 8th grade at Johnstown will be attending BM in the fall. A LIFT Scholarship perhaps? Did beating BM on a regular basis keep him at Johnstown?
Re: Richlands O-Line
It's a total waste of time to debate this issue 1,000,000 times every year time and time again.
I am just astonished how on this forum roughly 1% of topics actually deal with FOOTBALL and the rest are politics and small town banter.
Every school has a reputation.
I say all the power to McCort. If they can get kids to go there because of their reputation. GREAT! They are a private school and have no boundaries... If you want to whine about it- Whine to the PIAA. They will laugh in your face.
The schools that don't have to buy books for that student but are getting tax money aren't complaining!
Forest Hills has a nice reputation - families move into the Forest Hills School District all the time- kids have move to Forest Hills to wrestle (you could say they were "recruited")
People "move" from Westmont to Richland- Ferndale to Johnstown- Johnstown to Conemaugh Valley
Windber to Somerset- Rockwood to North Star- Ridge to Bedford
IT HAPPENS.
I try to post about FOOTBALL but I could not hold my breath no longer. It is a complete waste of time.
You have just wasted 5 minutes of my life that I will never get back.
Why don't you spend your time figuring out ways to BEAT these teams?
Probably because you have no clue- or because the Coach of your team would also laugh in your face.
To see actual football post last with 5 comments and see post that have NOTHING to do with football go on for 6 pages is stupid!

Re: Richlands O-Line
None of these are recruiting, because it is public schools. Public schools can do anything they want, and its okay. But if a public schools 8th string long snapper transfers to a private school everyone whines and cries he was recruited. I'm sorry SRV but I have to make one more comment. I have posted several comments on (sorry, Jack) Mcruit and several examples on how they recruited at Richland, North Star and Cone. Twp. Also, posts on how my employer donates thousands to Mcruit as a Corporate Sponsor when the school district that they are located in get zero. My #1 complaint has always been why do McCort people have to be so arrogant and throw it in your face that their team beats yours when they have a unlimted boundries to pull players and offer free tution to these students. 95 percent of what they do is not against the rules but it is unfair to other school districts. Jack i just wish you would say "our football team(or other team) beat yours but, we should cause we have advantages that you don't have." It's not a level playing field.
