If your watching the game on D6SN, they are talking about Southern Columbia in the east......Dunmore beat them last night.

And of course no comments about the attendance tonight. Bellwood's side is about full on the other hand I guess the roads were much better on their side of the mountain........Crimson's Ghost wrote:The AA public schools have a less than ideal crowd. And if you don't like my comment you don't have to read It either pal, works both ways. I like the site and support what they do however why take a jab at fans like that when "their team" has more cheerleaders than fans at the game....they say nothing. Even on their twitter feed they added jabs at the attendance at the AA game....I just didn't understand the need for it.
Re: D6SN District Six A Championship Breakdown.
Maybe McCort was flat, but I was really impressed with Bellwood Antis tonight. I definitely think BA could rep the east. Stiffest test will be against Dunmore.
Congrats to BA on your D6 Title. McCort fans, hold your heads up high on a fine season.

I clearly tweeted McCort had 20 fans at some point. I said the turnout was poor. What more can I say? Both games were dissapointing. Not a jab, just expressing dissapointment. And Mastovich and Maisel both agreed about last night. The weather was poor yesterday and really poor today. I know plenty of people that stayed home and watched, I think our site contributed to the decline. I wasn't knocking anyone, I can't say anything anymore.

I was covering the Pitt game today and missed the Southern Columbia score. Why would that equate to being an all LHAC network? We covered four Bellwood games this year, as much as any other team. Sorry if you don't like the coverage, I'm doing my best. I'll try and be better.

Also said Bellwood would be the draw of the weekend. 219 and Cresson mountain was rough today. The roads were nicer on 99.

Crimson, your work for the D6 Sports Network has been very positive. It has been a great means to showcase teams and players from that area.
Sure, there will always be a segment of folks who think that your reporting is biased toward McCort, that you don't cover certain teams enough, that you cover some teams too much, etc. That stuff goes with the territory of reporting, and even if a shred of it were true, you guys are still learning your way too and you'll learn and get better as you go along.
Here's the pathetic thing: There are probably some parents, fans, etc. who believe that when you don't cover their favorite team all the time, you are costing their children or favorite players scholarships. Seriously. I'll bet that this is true. Too many folks have a skewed sense of reality when it comes to high school athletics.
I hope that you and your colleagues don't allow a few jealous renegades to get under your skin.
The fact is, regardless of the criticisms that you may face, you are providing a unique service to the scholar/athletes of that area, something that has never been done before.
Quite frankly, people should be overwhelmingly supportive, extremely grateful and should be thanking you for your efforts to have such an admirable vision to promote high school athletics in the District 5/6 area. I will even volunteer to be a WPIAL correspondent if you need me LOL.
Keep up the solid work!
