Everyone has speed at the skill positions. Port Allegany had a track star at WR in Coneway. Clairton is fast on the lines esp the DLines. That's really the difference between Clairton speed and everyone else.

Dunmore came back and beat Old Forge 7-6 in the playoffs I see. Must have been a heck of a game. I see they beat Riverdside 34-20 also. So looks like they played some good teams

The Old Forge game was their toughest opponent. If they beat us, they would be playing Clairton. Tough and fast kids. They couldn't be warn down. Bucks had some fumbles that kept it close. Seamon blocked the extra point. Bucks stopped them on the 40 going in, on 4th and 1 to end the game

Looking at the Clairton streak. It has a common theme by housing teams in regular season then playing closer games in the playoffs. What's the deal with the league they are in? Is Clairton that good, or is the competition that bad?

They play in a loaded A conference. They are just that good.

The league is that bad. There is some high end talent at schools like Sto Rox and Monessen in Lenny Williams and Brendan Blair(SR), the Rawlins brothers and Gillispie(Monessen) but they don't have the lines to play with Clairton. I've been shocked how god awful the WPIAL has been the past few years. Our best competition has been in the State Finals the past 2-3 seasons. Rochester dropped off big time. Depending on how good the replacements are for the Killer T's I gotta say that the East should be the odds on favorite to win Class A next season. Sto Rox may be the team to come out of the WPIAL but they'll get mercy ruled in Hershey.

Loaded in terms of WPIAL competition but there are no Old Forges, Riversides, and Dunmores for Clairton to compete w/ in the regular season to give the Bears a push.

Yes. There will be a lot of people making the trip for this one. Hershey is a quick ride from Dunmore
