Obviously, he's on the soapbox again. He's a one-trick pony. Nothing to contribute to the discussion unless it involves consolidation. HIS answer to ALL of society's woes.
It ain't over until it's over.

I would like his take on the immoral Johnstown Christian School with its 240 students spread out over twelve grades.

The power only goes as far as the kids let it? Tell that to the players who played for the legend Steve Costea himself at Somerset. I heard he told the parents at a parent meeting one year "you will call me sir, mr, or coach. That is all. I demand respect." To the PARENTS of all people. I can see the kids but not parents and boosters. Bottom line if the coach is power hungry nothing will stop it until he is fired or set straight by the administration and AD.

I agree with you, the kids will become outcasts and made to look like malcontents. I've seen it happen. Kids can't resolve the issue, only adults.

That's how it is. If kids say something its disrespectful if a coach says something to the kid everyone looks the other way.

Sad this all is!!! What I was told from a nearby schools parent this chaos goes wayyyy deeper. The coach has friends and some whom went to school back in the day with him are now on the school board! So hmmmm protected on wrongdoing of any kind he may be doing yeah I would say so! The a.d is a tech grad with zero experience that replaced a man who was an icon for kids in and out of the school and was a teacher there forever. Perhaps a person board can control to be hush hush twitter talker? Further more the principal was said to have been stripped of his athletic responsibilities and the board controls athletics. Much to be covered up and controlled here people!!! Unless the governor himself goes to that school and wipes the school board clean with foots in the rear like they deserve and out the door forever, these kids have no chance! what I was also told, was the coach has a few players onboard with this misguided way and they just bully the other kids.

psycho wrote:I think it is IMMORAL to deny kids competition by maintaining an inefficient, antiquated system of piss ant schools that do little to challenge kids academically or athletically, just so a few union teachers can maintain their jobs. it is totally IMMORAL to sacrifice a kids HS developemental years, retard their growth and refuse them the opportunity to develop their potential. It is not only IMMORAL but it should be a CRIME.
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT????????????????????????????????????

Wow. I have no ties to this district, but that is really sad and disturbing. That kind of stuff is so crazy that it makes me kind of agree with psycho! ^#(^
