I doubt it would happen even though it should and makes too much sense. I'm sure bellwood wants revenge for the embarrassment of 3 years ago

I know I do HAHAHAHA I will admit, when we beat Bishop McCort in the district semi's that year we were on cloud 9! We had finally gotten the monkey off our back, beaten the team that had haunted us for years in district playoffs and pretty much had assumed we had won districts. I myself had NEVER heard of Penns Manor and from what I heard they were just another small town from the middle of no where having a Cinderella once in a lifetime season and it would be a cake walk (that's what I heard from A LOT of people around town, including some coaches). Bellwood had seen the Cinderella before, time and time again and had ALWAYS handled them with ease. Bellwood-Antis even busted out the "Senior Night BLUE-ON-BLUE" Uniforms that Coach Hayes ONLY lets the Blue Devils wear on Senior Night or once in a blue moon for the district championship, when he feels he has "The Team" that season...
I remember the opening videos on the Mansion Park scoreboard of both teams and thinking to myself, "We are going to kill these guys" HAHAHA and me and all my Ex-Blue Devil Football Alumni friends all sat together like we always do, some of us with kids on the team, already talking about who we might be facing in next week state playoff game.
Penns Manor gets the ball first and I will NEVER forget this...I think it was the first play of the game...Penns Manor QB goes like 95 yards to the house for a TD and smokes EVERYONE!!! No one was even within 10 yards of him!!! HAHAHAHA We were all like WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED!!! And it was a TOTAL COMPLETE BEAT-DOWN that game!!! We were totally embarrassed and shocked!!! HAHAHAHA the final ended up being like 40-14 or something like that HAHAHAHA I left that game KNOWING who Penns Manor was!!! And I have wanted revenge ever since!!! HAHAHA But I have respected you guys ever since then and applaud you for beating us that night at Mansion Park, you guys earned my respect along with A LOT of other peoples.

Ya that's one of the first plays on Danny's highlight reel. I remember just flying back to pocatello and got right in time for game to start on the radio. Heard us stop you and pinned is deep and was worried because I knew of Bellwood blue. Then the first play happened and it was like, hey these guys are vulnerable and not invincible like they seemed to be.

Yea that kid was REALLY fast, especially on turf. I knew he was good, but I was VERY impressed that night. Bellwood had a running back like that from 04-06, Josh Kleinfelter. He was a human highlight reel. He ended up with one 1,600+ yard season, two-2,000+ yard seasons and is BA's ALL-TIME leading rusher. He was a Sophomore when I was a Senior and he was a stud then. I know when he finished his HS career in 06 he was on PA's Top 20 ALL-TIME Rushing yard list...not sure if he has been surpassed by now. But I know he finished 1 spot ahead of Steve Slaton, the RB who played for West Virginia and then played in the NFL for a short timekonjo78 wrote:Ya that's one of the first plays on Danny's highlight reel. Danny has taken the ivy league education route and went to UPenn. He has gotten a few touches this year, which I was surprised to hear as freshman in the ivy league are usually redshirted, like most places. I still talk with him time from time. He'll probably end up like his dad, in the front office of a professional sport organization

Kleinfelter ended up playing for Lycoming and finishing as Lyco's All Time leading rusher too. He lives in Bellwood still and is apart of BA's varsity coaching staff. Great kid. Its nice for smalltowns to have a players like Danny and Josh. Because their legacy lasts forever in smalltown football and is a measuring stick for years to come.konjo78 wrote:Danny has taken the ivy league education route and went to UPenn. Back before Johnstown Vo-Tech dropped its football team, I saw Kleinfelter play @ VT on a Sat. afternoon. He was special. B-A steamrolled VT.
It ain't over until it's over.

I remember Kleinfelter torching us(Portage) in the playoffs at our place. Was definitely one of the fastest/shiftiest player I've ever got to watch in person on the H.S. level for sure.

Kleinfelter definately was special and a one of a kind running back. As good as he was he was the humblest kid. If I would have had his skill set I would have been cocky as hell!!! Hahaha he was always quiet and would hand the ball to the ref after every play. You should see him now, he is HUGE!!! He won a strong man competition locally not that long ago. He is HUGE and chizzled!!
