I saw Somerset run it up on FH last year, and the two-point conversion attempt last night was much of the same thing. Don Bailey is too much of a gentleman to bring it up, but I'm sure he knew what was happening to him on his home field. If I was Somerset, I would follow the Richland Rams this year. They had their 15 minutes of fame the last 2 years. Your 15 minutes may last another season.

I saw a team thoroughly dominated last night, and it wasn't pretty. When the opening kick/ TD runback takes the air out of a team's sails, that's ANY teams, things go downhill from there, and that's what happened. No tackling but a lot of grabbing jerseys and air, way too many penalties, and losing a "Mr. Everything" caliber player early in the second quarter. Somerset will win the LHAC. I saw BGCHS @ Richland, and Somerset is better, at all positions. The week 10 game between the 2 is in Somerset. Enough said about that. To the guy who had to bring up something that was said from LAST year- is that what your argument 'to feel better about yourself' comes down to? I did nothing but openly praise Somerset last year, mainly because I was supporting Tanner Stull, who happens to be a cousin. I did say the typical "wait till next year", but who doesn't? What else do you have at that point.
It ain't over until it's over.

What goes around comes around, wouldn't worry about scores being run up. Payback always happens.

I never said I believe it. This is said from students at somerset high school. I said I didn't know if it was true

Somerset definitely didn't run the score up. Barnes might have 4 quarters in two games. They totally blew teams out fast with their speed and talent. They even took him out at safety a lot when they did score. And a lot of the tds were on special teams and defense. So not too much offense was shown the first two games. The steroid comment is ridiculous to even say anywhere! I wouldn't say somerset is unstoppable yet in two games! Granted they are good, but we will find out at bedford on friday how good they are. And bg is pretty impressive too in the lhc! Somerset never played a full game yet, and bedford already played two full games. Game shape may play a factor. And to the fh vs somerset argument last year, I just remember fh people saying next year at fh will be payback. lol Didn't mean to offend anyone. Anyone know how donoghue is? What about j-towns jones and updyke?

Sounds like football guy is a disgruntled CT fan. While I agree Portage is probably better than Berlin this year, Berlin along with Tussey and meyersdale are clearly the best teams in district 5A.

west33: Despite your excuses, going for 2 at that point in the game is Bush League. And your reasoning is even worth less. You are the one who couldn't wait to bring up last year. Now a lot of readers on this site can see just what kind of team and coach you guys have.
