your screen name involves Bedford...therefore it covers all sports. and regardless of what you played in high school you should still support your school in every sport that it does....you dont see Coach or Wake on here cheering against the NBC soccer teams do you? you dont see 4him talking crap against the everett football team do ya?

anyway back to the bedford vs ridge game...theres about 15 minutes left in the first half and bedford is up 1-0 off the famous "Beaken lob"

Referees 5 Chestnut Ridge 0
Worst officiated game, in any sport, I have ever witnessed.
But congratulations to Bedford they played a great game.

Lions played hard tonight, but Bedfords offence, along with a lil lady luck, helped em come on with the win. Congrats to bedford, and good job to ridge, hard played game from both sides.

old school you were there? now i reallly do wish i could have gone!! just so i could have proof that you actually went to a soccer game.

anyway i heard that the reffing was quite pathetic as well, but all i can say is it makes up for last year when the refs called back 3 bedford goals in the first half! but thats not whats important, all that matters is bedford won and ridge lost. end of story

the officiating wasn't terrible because they gave everything to bedford, they missed everything both sides, although they did give a lil more to bedford

That's true count2infinity. It was horrible on both sides, but one of the biggest reasons that Ridge lost is because there are only 2 Lions on the other half of the field! We played a deffensive game the whole freakin time and the ball was hardly ever in Bedford's half. We need to rethink strategy, we can't score with 2 people on offense and the rest of them playing defense. Something needs to change, I'm so sick of losing.

playing with only 2 guys up top can be an advantage...IF you learn to use the counter attack and have your mids quickly support. alot of pro teams play either a 4-4-2 or a 4-5-1 and play defense most of the game but win because they score on the quick counter attacks.

That's very true Gunner, but the fact of the matter is, and I'm not ragging on Ridge, but our team just doesn't have that counter attack. Plus when the midfield does go up to help the 2, they are usualy yelled at to come back and support the deffense. All of the Ridge parents see it, the Ridge players see it, why can't the coaches. Especially the defensive coach who I deeply dislike!
