Question of the year. Paterno retire?
Re: Question of the year. Paterno retire?
I still really like Mills and think he is a better QB than Robinson. I am in the minority here, but Mills is a darn good QB when he has some targets to throw the ball to. I wish they had some gamebreakers like B. Johnson a few years ago, so people could once again see how much it helps to be able to stretch a defense. This is PSU's biggest and most glaring problem right now.

i second everything in that post, coach
psu's recruiting has not been as bad as it could be the past few years. it will drop off though if the losing atmosphere in state college is not shaken. this offseason is pivotal for the lions to bring in a threat at wide out who will be ready to play in the first game next year. derrick williams (maryland) and justin king (pittsburgh) seem to be the 2 guys that psu really needs to turn this team around.

I also wish PSU had some gamebreakers. The WR need to catch the balls that are thrown to them. However, when you have 7 tunovers in 3 (or 4) games on your own theres something wrong. Mills has to start playing like a senior and not a freshman or sophomore. I agree that Robinson is not a better QB than Mills, but Robinson is a much better athlete than Mills. There are not a lot of options other than Mills or Robinson, so i guess that Mills has it.
As far as recruiting goes, PSU was in the top 15 in the nation this past year for recruiting. There are still a lot of people who have faith in old JoPA, and i'm one of them!!!
