Muslim double standard on religion - Click Here

And here's another article - just to give a little background. I don't recall Christians rioting and killing after this.

If the Muslim people want respect for their religion, they too should show some respect to others. That typically is not the case.

The following Article Appeared in the Washington Times on May 15th, 2002.

.................

BETHLEHEM, West Bank -- The Palestinian gunmen holed up in the Church of the Nativity and later deported by Israel seized church stockpiles of food and "ate like greedy monsters" until the food ran out, while more than 150 civilians went hungry.

They also guzzled beer, wine, and Johnny Walker scotch that they found in the priests' quarters, undeterred by the Islamic ban on drinking alcohol.

The indulgence lasted for about two weeks into the 39-day siege, when the food and drink ran out, according to an account by four Greek Orthodox priests who were trapped inside for the entire ordeal that ended Friday.

About 30 priests, monks and nuns, and more than 150 Palestinian civilians, who ran inside on April 2 to escape a gunbattle between Israelis and Palestinians, remained inside the church and the armed militants for more than five weeks.

A church helper, who gave his name as Milad, said the quantity of food consumed by the gunmen in the first 15 days should
have lasted for six months.

As they feasted and boozed, Palestinian civilians subsisted on a meager diet, with barely enough for a single meal a day.

Conditions improved somewhat for the civilian refuge seekers when the governor of Bethlehem intervened and partially
succeeded in reallocating food supplies, priests and other witnesses said.

Angry Orthodox priests yesterday showed two reporters about 20 empty bottles of whiskey, champagne, vodka, cognac and French wine on a kitchen shelf and on the floor of two rooms.

"They should be ashamed of themselves. They acted like animals, like greedy monsters. Come, I will show you more," said one priest, who declined to give his name.

He gestured toward empty bottles of Israeli-brewed Maccabi beer and hundreds of cigarette butts strewn on the floor. The
priest then took the reporters to see computers taken apart and a television set dismantled for use as a hiding place for weapons. "You can see what repayment we got for 'hosting' these so-called guests," said Archbishop Ironius, another cleric, as he showed reporters the main reception hall of the Greek Orthodox Monastery.

"All the media concentrated on the Franciscan [Catholic] quarter, where little damage was done," the archbishop said. "Why? The Franciscans actually let the gunmen in, then guided the gunmen to our rooms."

Archbiship Ironius showed onlookers where the militants had broken in to the monks' quarters by smashing locked doors while, he said, the monks were praying downstairs.

"The Franciscans then blocked their own rooms' doors with iron bars," Archbshop Ironius said. The 39-day siege ended Friday under a deal in which 13 Palestinian fighters were sent to exile in Europe and other 26 were sent to Gaza, where they were received as heroes.

While in the church, the top Palestinian gunmen slept on comfortable beds in the elegant apartment of Father Parathaious, while others rested on mattresses there and elsewhere under high-quality woolen blankets.

The civilians slept on cold tile floors in the main church downstairs.

"It's a shame, the mess they made and the way they kept the food. I'm not proud of what they did, even though as a Palestinian I sympathize with their cause of a liberated homeland," said Milad, 15.

The gunmen belong to the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, part of Palestinian Yasser Arafat's Fatah organization. Before Mr. Arafat visited the church yesterday, Palestinian security officials ordered a thorough removal of all debris and a total cleanup.

But prior to Mr. Arafat's arrival, the reporters were shown the room belonging to Father Vasareillon, where a key Al Aqsa leader, Nabil Abayat, was fatally shot.

While inviting the reporters inside, the priests refused to allow three young members of Mr. Abayat's extended family into the room, fearing they would insist it become a Muslim shrine to their fallen colleague.

The scene in the room was grim. Seven gunmen sheltered there, said another young church helper, and Mr. Abayat had died when a bullet ricocheted off a radiator.

Pools of his blood had stained the bed on which he had collapsed.

Priests pointed to numerous bullet holes that appeared to have been fired from inside the room.

Wine bottles and a Johnny Walker Red Label whiskey bottle lay empty on a bedside table with cooked rice splattered on the floor. Another top gunman from the militant Abayat clan was fatally shot 10 days ago close to a well that the Palestinians had used to hide their weapons.

Another four gunmen died during the exchanges of fire and sniping, as well as a mentally retarded bell ringer who, the Israelis say, ran toward soldiers, ignoring orders to stop.

Several Israeli soldiers were seriously wounded in the exchange of gunfire during the five-week siege. The Orthodox priests and a number of civilians have said the gunmen created a regime of fear. "Their word was law," said one of the civilians, "and they told us civilians who left the church would either be shot by the Israelis or dealt with later by the gunmen's comrades."

Even in the Roman Catholic areas of the complex there was evidence of disregard for religious norms. Catholic priests said that some Bibles were torn up for toilet paper, and many valuable sacramental objects were removed. "Palestianians took candelabra, Icons and anything that looked like gold," said a Franciscan, the Rev. Nicholas Marquez from Mexico.

"We were told later that they gave them back." The gunmen and civilians who emerged on Friday went through metal detectors, revealing no stolen objects.

Here's some more reading on the "respect" Christians are given by Muslims...........

Taken from the website (http://www.liberallunacy.net/)

Moral equivalency

The bigger story here is why does the press appease Muslim terrorists the way that they do? Why is the press so apoplectic about the alleged events at Abu Ghraib or Guantanamo? Nobody died. Nobody was even injured. They were humiliated. well, excuuuuuuse me?

Why does the MSM get their panties in a twist because vicious murdering animals claim they "are humiliated?" The terrorists are taught to claim abuse and spread false rumor. It is a core part of their training. It is al Qaeda 101. It's in their training manual (link below).

Muslim terrorists have attacked America. They routinely kidnap and behead non-combatants. Muslim priests regularly issue this fatwah or that fatwah that basically says kill everyone that is not a Muslim. They burn American flags, desecrate Christian and Jewish symbols on a daily basis. Palestinians used the Bible as toilet paper on the spot that Jesus was born (story below). The Taliban destroyed in a moment the 1600 year-old Buddhas of Barmiyan.

Where was the outrage from the MSM to these events that were perpetrated by the murdering savages that the media now chooses to refer to as "insurgents" and "freedom fighters." Hell, that fool Michael Moore has even said that these murderers are just like the Lexington and Concord Minutemen.

Isn't life a two way street? If Muslims want respect, shouldn't they show respect for those who are not followers of Islam? The answer, and everyone knows this, is that Muslims have no respect for anyone who is not a follower of the prophet. If you are not a Muslim, your are an infidel and according to their religion should convert to Islam or die.

Muslim fanatics have absolutely no respect for anyone or anything that is not Muslim. Hell, the way the terrorists in Iraq are killing their fellow Muslims, they don't even have any respect for their own.

The people we are fighting are not noble warriors fighting for a just cause. They are serial murderers on a killing spree. They will murder anyone, anywhere, anytime, including themselves. They don't need a reason to murder. These people like it.

Yet the media makes enormous issues out of the humiliation of a few of these vicious bastards and gloss over the brutality they visit on every part of the world in which they exist.

Anywhere there are Muslim fanatics, there is death and destruction, in the United States, in Israel, in Palestine, in Iraq, in The Netherlands, Norway and Sweden, in Malaysia, in the Philippines, in Saudi Arabia, in Afghanistan, in Yemen, in Chechnya, in Uzbekistan, in Pakistan, in India and on and on. Militant Muslim fanatics are carriers of a disease and that disease kills men, women and children.

I have had it with then press claiming that we need to treat these animals according to the Geneva Conventions. The conventions do not apply to Muslim terrorists.

I have had it with the press saying that we need to treat the terrorists with kid gloves so our prisoners will be treated fairly. This notion is a total fantasy. These Muslim fanatics don't treat anyone fairly, under any circumstances. If you are captured by these animals, the only thing you can expect is to be beaten, brutalized and murdered. If you're lucky, they won't cut your head off and hang you from a bridge.

The media needs to do some real soul-searching and decide whose side they are on in this fight. The media also needs to get over the open hostility it displays to this government. Every time one of these bs stories tarnish the Bush Administration or George Bush, it also tarnishes the country. And the media needs to remember, we didn't pick this fight.

I can't wait to watch you guys when Christianity is no longer the dominate religion of the world. It will be even funnier to watch you guys when we aren't the dominate race in America. Oh man, I am laughing already.

Southpaw, Republicans use spin just as much as Democrats. You just believe it so don't see it.

Oh, and war only breeds death. Tell me; if a building is on fire, and you have a choice: you can save a member of your family, or 12 complete strangers, which would it be?

I never said that most media isn't biased, I just said that Fox is, and Drudge does a good job of hiding it's bias, though of course you guys never read any stories from the other side I am sure.

By the way, you know why all the terrorists are in Iraq? Because we're there! Come on, most of these terrorists probably came from another country to come and cause trouble. The rest are probably hard core Iraqis that don't like being occupied.

And there have been no weapons of mass destruction, and hardly any proof of them. And Iraq had no connection with 9-11. Both were used as early excuses to go over there. Now the motive was to free the Iraqis. After that, let's free the Saudis, the Chinese, and the Russians. Yeah, like our politicians care about the freedom of Iraqi people. And they'll just keep making up excuses, because we've gotten ourselves into a long term war for no good reason.

DCP? That post was really bizarre. I have no idea what you are trying to illustrate with the last part of your post.

FF I do watch and read other news sources and still see Fox and Drudge as unbiased compared to CNN and the big 3. Maybe you should give us specific examples of other news sources that are unbiased? Enlighten us with your wisdom!

Analyst, I have no clue why we're in Iraq. You'd need to take that up with George W.

I don't immediately know off hand of other unbiased news sources, but I think that most ALL news is biased. I can however, research several examples to show how biased Fox News is.

You know, I for one am fed up to my **** with the irresponsible reporting in today's LIBERAL media. Dan Blather's gaffs, Newsweek's fabricated LIES, and now "The Sun"'s use of pictures gotten illegally from 24 hr. surveillance camera's , of SADDAM in his "oh my GOD" underwear!!!! All this is intended for is sensationalism, to sell copy, plain and simple! It's about time our government, YES, our GOP-controlled government, smacks down and smacks down HARD on these anti-American clowns. It's positively TREASONOUS what these people are doing, they will only fan the flames of anti-American hatred even wilder than they already are. Deport these (expletive deleted).
