Ahhhh yes! The Pitt fans continue to cry. Where is that list at TAE? It's about time to break that bad boy out. 11 More days!

Hahaha. That list is safe and sound. Actually, I haven't even looked at it in awhile. I don't think Pitt lost any commits though, which is really good for them and is also a little surprising considering how the season went.

I still can't understand how these receivers are bailing on Palko. I'm real high on Tyler Palko; I think it's real strange that Brockenborough left after a year with an injury where he missed the whole season and then Lee went early. If you are breaking in a new QB I can understand that, but Palko is very good.

UMMMMMMMMMMMM no it wasnt The two reasons were they wouldnt join the Big East in all sports esp basketball and they dont have there own stadium because when the Eagles built their new stadium they said orginally that Temple couldnt play there and they had to play at Franklin Field at Penn.

You better get your facts straight, my friend. There are schools in big football conferences (highest moneymaker operation) who are only there to keep the academics up. In most cases the high-academic schools aren't very good at football. Temple, Rurgers, Vanderbilt, Stanford. It had nothing to do with basketball. They axed Temple because their academics are garbage now. When you're only afloat based on academics and they drop off, what good are you? Rutgers is lucky Schiano is winning a few games.

From the executive office of President, Temple University. A discussion paper entitled "Big East Requirements for Temple" , November 24, 1998: "Director of Athletics, Dave O'Brien, has spearheaded an all-out effort to restore Temple's I-A football program in the Big East Football Conference. Two critical components for meeting the Big East criteria are (1) averaging 25,000 spectators for home football games and (2) playing in an adequate stadium that Temple controls on Saturdays during football season. Temple cannot expect the Big East Conference to wait indefinitely for these criteria to be met. Temple needs to have realizable plans in place within the next year. 'Competiveness is another criterion' ". There is nothing mentioned in this discussion paper about basketball or academics.
