Who will filling these key shoes

FH - QB
BM - Backfield
WH- QB
Jtown- QB
Forest Hills quarterback will be either Junior Jason Shope or Sophomore Zach Glessner. Shope got a few snaps behind Rearick last season, but not nearly enough to judge on how he will do as a quarterback. Glessner has potential to be good and Shope will make a move somewhere else on the offensive side of the ball. With the backfield set, and too small to be a lineman, he could move to wide receiver or more likely tight end. Though he might cut it as a quarterback. It'll be fun to watch it unfold in Sidman.

Also, Lowry will probably move to McCort's backfield and probably get well his share of carries. So that should answer those two questions you had. The quarterback position of Westmont and Johnstown are something I couldn't tell you about.
Anthony is a very nice player. However...it is always tough to follow "the Man".

It will likely be another 10 years or more until we see another linebacker in this area the caliber of Scott Lewis.
Don't get me wrong, Lewis was definitely a dang good linebacker, but I don't agree with this 10 years idea. One of the greatest things about LHAC football is that there always seems to be someone to step into the shoes. Another Scott Lewis will not come around, but someone who amazes in an equal way will surely rise to the challenge.

It sucks that I will not be playing anymore, but I am already pumped to be able to watch football on friday nights again....

Then as peviously noted, you should at least know WTF you're talking about!
Well...a long time ago I was 18 in my senior year as well. Most people are in fact 18 at some point during their Senior year.
WOW, this is very insightful/heavy/self-disclosing.....Opie was 18 in his senior yr, most people are 18 in their senior yr, most people are 18 before they are 19.... WOW, never processed/internalized such deep chronological cognition!
The problem comes in when you turn 19 during your Senior year.
not....one cannot turn 19 prior to a season but although wrong (again), it is moot in this case!
I'd be willing to make a wager that this indivdual will be 19 before the 07-08
Uhhhh, this individual turned 18 this past Fall....let's do some quick ciphering; if he does not turn 19 till after the start of the 07-08 school year.... then Op would loose his bet!!!

Not only back to class Opie....to the back of the class you go!!

Listen, if you're gonna insult my judgement fine-- your welcome to, but don't use my own facts against me (great vision and good catching ability out of the backfield)... Tell me something I don't know... Scott is one of my better friends and I assure you he'll crack next year's top 2...

But for now: 13 it is...

As far as Kaufman goes, I've been impressed by him since he's been a sophmore... But the facts are this: Talent-wise- he is the third best QB in the LHAC... In addition, He has no supporting cast...

Questions?
Touché. Scott is one of my best friends, but that's not the point. If you want something you don't know, he is working hard. He's lifting daily and I know he'll add more moves to his repertoire. He'll be in the top five best players at the end of this season. He's locking up that number one spot for next year.

By the way, he also helped make #3, Mitch Blackwell, look like a fool. Five tackles against the Rangers. He better be performing better than that when he comes to Sidman on October 5th.

11 sacks as a sophomore and 15 as a junior. Believe me, Blackwell has done enough to shirk your criticism. I'm really sorry that MB actually has a subpar game once in a while. Surely Mehall never has bad games, right? (I wont mention that game with 4 carries for 0 yards vs Bedford or that 5 carries for 8 yards showing against Penn Cambria, dont worry) Truth is, MB has been one of the few bright spots for CC the past two years. And with this group of seniors and upcoming juniors for the Red Devils, it should be an interesting matchup versus the now Rearick-less Rangers. I'm excited already

Well I will mention the 61 receiving yards, touchdown, and 2-pt. conversion in the Bedford game. I also will mention his rushing touchdown against Penn Cambria. Don't worry. Hmm...a touchdown in each of his "subpar" games. He must be pretty dang good, then.

Mehall will carry the Rearick-less Rangers to a victory against CC.

P.S. I won't mention his 206 all-purpose yard, 2 TD, 10+ yard per touch performance in Ebensburg last season. Don't worry.

Then the more power to your boy Mehall. But look at that CC game -- the devils scheme to stop Rearick and hence, they pick off his first two passes of the night i believe. It was pick your poison. Stop Rearick, running game flourishes. Stop run game, Rearick passes for 300+. Heck, it's been the same thing for the last three years: Rearick's 2pt conversion wins it in OT in 04, Rearicks late TD to Trout wins another close one in 05, and Rearicks strong second half makes a 2pt game at halftime into a 20 pt win. Do you notice a pattern? Hmmm . . . I'm gonna say Rearick. But he's gone, and no one even somewhat tested is in the wings. FH definitely wont have the passing game this year, which might close some holes for Mehall. Fact is, Mehall and Kostan fed off that mammoth line and Rearicks passing prowess. Might be a little different in 07, wilmer valderamma.

No more Faish. Now the Devils need to rely on McGregor or O'Saben.

You need to realize that CC has no proven running back that will fill the shoes of a 1000 yard rusher. I'm sure they can get productivity out of the backfield as they do every year, but there's always an uncertainty.

Rearick wasn't the cause of the stellar second-half. The Rangers won the battle in the trenches and that's how every game is won.

You can say that the Rangers have no passing game, but don't be surprised if Shope or Glessner take advantage of the defense being focused on shutting down Mehall. Also, don't forget Don Bailey wins what whatever he is given. He'll make it work this season.

Cant disagree with that last point. Give Bailey a sack of potatoes as a team and he'll stick go .500. He gets it done, whether he has the talent to or not. Something that hasnt exactly happened at CC, even when they have the talent. I expected better than 2-7 and 6-4 the last two seasons. But this year there is no senior I-formation tailback (Giles, Krull, Makin, Faish) and no bruising O-line to rely on. However, CC does have something they havent had in recent years: legit speed. With tailbacks O'Saben and Petrosky, wide reciever Ridgeley, and WR/TE/ATH Wasilewski, the Devils actually have the speed theyve lacked for so long. My opinion -- put McGregor (physical runner when given the chance) in the Tebow-esque shotgun formation, split out the speedsters, and give him the freedom to run the O that he hasnt yet enjoyed in his 2 yrs at CC.
