I was thinking about this the other day. Neither Pitt nor Penn State plays in a conference with a championship game currently. So, why don't they play on championship weekend. Just a thought but both teams could benefit from a game that weekend. Unless either team is undefeated then the game will not influence bowl selection. It will help bridge the gap between the end of the Big Ten/ Big East season and the bowl games.

I read in the Mirror this morning where they outlined the slimmest chances of Penn State and Pitt playing in Fiesta Bowl this year. It is a possibility. The scenario of them playing in Fiesta bowl has a better chance then Coach Paterno and company getting them back on schedule anytime soon. I no this was brought up many times but I am sorry i forget, isn't Pitt and Penn State one of the few in state college universities who do not play each other? Are they the only one?

Anyone read the Sporting News? Interesting article by Matt Hayes from Thursday November 12th. Check out part 2 entitled "Avoidance 101".

I was very happy to see the ticket prices for Penn State games going up. Those loyal PSU fans will be delighted to pay top dollar for games against Indiana St. and Temple. You can't put a price on standing in a mud puddle, in the middle of a cow pasture, holding a beer. Woohoo!
