Who do they think they are? Oregon?
I don't compare Rizzo to LaMichael James, though.

Well you actually gotta be decent to be compared with Oregon. I will applaud Brandon for making that team look good. Its like Deion Sanders says, "If you look good you feel good, if you feel good you play good, if you play good they pay good, if the pay good you live good."
I will truely feel bad for Craig if he takes this job. I mean he inherits a program with an offense based ever year off the newest Madden. I never figured Craig for a gamer, so he is gonna have to break down and buy an xbox or ps3 or something.

Wow the circus continues, my earlier reports were proven false apparent Bailey did not step down quietly. It appears McCort and Coach Salem in particular is just one step ahead. I guess the pattern for success has always been known its just does not seem to work at Richland.

"I feel that this is the best course of action for both parties involved. Mr. Bailey is a good man, but he cannot fulfill the time obligations as both on of our most public school administrators and also be the head coach of the football program. I understand there are those that played under him who sing his praises as both a coach and a administrator, but this is from a select very biased group that was part of the football team. It is for these student athletes Mr. Bailey was a strong advocate for. However, this group only makes up for the minority of the student body. There is a greater number of students who are either non athletes or athletes of sports other then football. For students such as this, there is a clear bias and conflict of interest with the majority of our administration including Mr. Bailey. It is impossible for the head football coach to be sympathetic and supportive to other sports at the school.
A example of such issues is that of the Soccer programs. Both the boys and girls soccer programs have been having great success in the past 5-10 years, and especially in the last 5 years. However, they usually receive nothing more then honorable mention at an assembly. Even when these teams host District playoff and then the Championship game at home at Herlinger Field there is barely any mention in the school district let a lone a mass voice mail to all the student homes in the Richland School District to come out and support the football team. Instances like this show the bias that exist among the administration. Mr. Bailey did not have access to a program that would send out the voice mail or the contact info for all the students as a football coach, but rather as a school administrator. This support for the football team is obviously warranted by the success the football team had been enjoying but it does not take an educated person to note that if such support, time and district resources are allocated to a football announcement that their is a bias. If Mr. Bailey was acting as a football coach when he made such an announcement then he abused his power as a school administrator to access the information, and if he was acting as a school administrator informing the students of the football teams playoff game then would you not agree such efforts should be awarded to any other sport that has made playoffs? The soccer example is only one example, I am sure the same sentiment exists in other sports.
Any interaction I had with Mr. Bailey as an administrator was always pleasant and professional, it goes without saying that he does make a solid school administrator. However, it is impossible for someone to be fair and just when he himself has a invested interest in the matter. This covers everything from the support for football that was not shared with other sports as I previously mentioned or even when it comes to disciplinary action for football players. It is not unusual for members of the football team to get a lesser "school punishment" but then get punished when they go to practice because of the link between administration and football coaching staff. This is an example of why I am glad Joe Rizzo is helping this fight, there needs to be a clear separation of athletic staff and administrators. Nothing against Mr. Bailey personally but organizationally speaking it is not right to allow a administrator in a position where they can have a conflict of interest and ethics because they have an invested interest in another activity."
Sincerely,
Cullen T. Frye

hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahaha come on theres a bias towards 1 sport at every school.
And thats sport is......FOOTBALL.
Umm thats the money maker. Nobody cares about soccer, even if you mass emailed the entire Richland School District, Nobody would show up.
I mean even McCort, realistically the best sports there would be cheerleading and hockey. Ummm who has the most attendance still? Football.
Football reigns, stop letting the soccer moms dictate your school.
I'm 100% behind Coach Bailey.
