There were some really good matches tonight. I thought both teams wrestled hard. Went pretty much as I expected with the exception of 160 and 182. 132 was a toss-up match. I was impressed with Grimes def. shows improvement over last year. You can really tell he hit the weights hard in the off season. 182 was a big surprise. Just because of Brett being bigger I expected the win there. But, as someone posted earlie natural talent only takes you so far. Also not much competition in the room for him. Overall pretty good match though. CR will be tough for anyone to beat.

Thoughts. I was impressed with both teams. This is always a great match to attend. Gabriel from Bedford is going to be tough this year. Bollman pulled a huge win out for ridge. Both Buttrys with big wins. Connor got the team fired up and Austin put it in the bag for the Lions... Easter looks solid as i expected for Bedford. IMO Crouse got shafted in his match, but wont take anything away from Thomas. District Duals will be interesting with these teams.

Would have liked to watched this one. I imagine they will meet in the District finals. Although Berlin is solid and appears more than capable of running with any team this year. Special shout out to the Buttry boys good job.

Both Buttry boys looked great. The turning point of the match was Mike getting pinned--I think they knew that Hi-C was coming and the planned for it accordingly. Mike is a very tough kid and will come back from that--I can't wait to see those 2 wrestle again.

Someone from Bedford needs to take that Collins kid and straighten him out before he costs the team points. Came off the mat and shoved his coaches, then his brother tries to come out on the team bench with him. This kid needs to settle down.

Agreed. Good coaching by CR. Bollman is a tough kid and was well prepared. Teams looked pretty even last night. Coaching will prob. decide who wins the next match between them. I doubt you see that match-up again. Later season Match Bollman could be a 160 pounder if CR drops. Wouln't be surprised to see Mike go at 195. That match with those 2 would have been fun to see more then 19 seconds. Their styles would have made for a wild match.

As far as Collins goes def. needs someone to help get him in check. That's the thing with wrestling though. You could see that he was in trouble early in the match. He totally dominated the first period and I think was losing 5-4 after 1 period with like 3 penalty points. I think Bence only scored 3 points that were not escpaes or penalty points and won 11-8. Collins's inexperience showed in giving up some of those points and you can't call time out in wrestling to talk to a kid and settle things down. It was a good example of where the great wrestling atmosphere last night was too much for some kids to handle. But, if Bedford's coaching staff can teach him a few things he could def. be a good wrestler.

Question: How / why does Bedford not send someone out at 195?
