d6 has like 20 teams and sends 4 automatically and d5 with our 8 have to play a playin game just to send one. but crimson is ok with that. even though last years d5 entrees beat the d6 entree. d5 will never get any respect.

he has my respect he helped me out in a pinch with a wicked advance from Coach at the parkside dealing with an adult beverage served in a small glass. As for McCort not so much :)

Good win for CT,but I have no problem with the play-in. If it was a combined District 5 & 6 CT most likely would not have made the playoffs. PC, BM, Bellwood, and Northern Cambria are all superior teams in my opinion. Most likely Tyrone as well. However, I don't want to take away from a very nice win tonight. Good luck and maybe we'll get to see them go against Northern Cambria later in this tournament. If that comes to pass and CT wins that one, then you will be correct and I will be wrong

ct lost the 2nd game to pc by 4 so not superior. beat bellwood last year to move on, i will only say it once more.. the play in game should have been against a 6-4 or 7-7 not a team that went through the playoffs to win it.

Hey, I agree with you there. There is good basketball in District 5 as well. I can understand your frustration with it but they do they best they can when drawing this up. Perhaps if CT makes a nice run to the quarters it will give some ammunition to your argument. Good luck, I hope we get to see NC vs CT as it would be nice for the local teams to beat the WPIAL. I am really happy when that happens

FYI, Penn Cambria beat CTownship 54-46, but that was a long time ago.

At this point it's on to the next game, and look no further because 90% of the teams are solid and belong in the PIAA tourney. the other 10% who don't belong will get blown out by 30-40 in the 1st round anyway.

Saw them play on video. They are not very good, they lost to several non-playoff teams and lost 10 games overall. I haven't seen Township play, but have also seen Whouse. Knowing that Township beat Whouse, I have to believe that Township should handle Brentwood just fine. Berntwood certainly does not play like Whouse.

Brentwood got two favorable draws in the prelims and 1st round in California and Shady Side Academy, both who play in very weak AA sections. Those two wins got them into the quarters where they were blown out of the gym 66-36 in a game that might has well have been 100-36. They have no business being in the PIAA playoffs, but the WPIAL, in its infinite wisdom with Follow The Winner, allows teams like Brentwood to advance to the state tournemant. Had the WPIAL played consys, their would have been very little chance Brentwood would be playing in the PIAA playoffs.
