Explain how BA has maintained the A designation all of these years by just a hair, but in fact the Census shows an increase in population in Antis township. Hmmm , just sayin the numbers don't add up now do they?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA No they don't, this is ridiculous. I went to BA and my kids go to BA. If you follow history since the PIAA started playoffs Bellwood has been AA several times, mid-to-late 80's and 00-01 seasons. There were NO kids who I went to school with who "all the sudden" went to a private school in high school, I went to school with the same kids the whole way up through, yea we had a few move away and move in but who doesn't. Plus when I played, we were Single A and were apart of the MAC conference and the ICC conference and we played a primarily AA schedule: Tyrone, Penns Valley, Bald Eagle, South Huntingdon, Mount Union, Philispburg Osceola, and Chestnut Ridge. And we beat ALL those AA schools except Tyrone who are ALL bigger than Bellwood-Antis...
Me and raven don't agree on much but the allegations that there is foul play is absurd
See we arent so different after all!!! HAHAHAHAHA

Didn't Aliquippa Play AAA when Sean Gilbert played.

Back to the numbers manipulation theory. It is very possible to do it. If a school has 200 boys, but only want to claim 195 for state reimbursement they can. They would lose about 5k for kid (number may be higher now). They cannot however, claim more students then they have.

Or they could claim that five of their boys are really transgender who think they're girls.

Any school administrator who gives up state funding in order to have his school compete at a lower classification in sports should be fired immediately.

Go to the PIAA website and click on schools. Then type in a school name and when it comes up click details. It will give you the schools current numbers and what class they play in each sport.

I dont know if anyone on here is from this area but one thing jumped out to me when I looked at the schools and numbers. WHY on earth does Southern Huntingdon play AA football?? They are waaaay under and could be in A and they have not won a game in two years....makes no sense.

Finally got a name, have been reading this for almost 8 years. Here is my thought, why does PA not have a 5A, i feel like 400+ is so bland. We are comparing Indianvally/Lewistown to The Bucks County school district that has what 4 schools in teh county that are quad A, and huge population in each. Similar to the University that is North Alleghany (1 class is almost as big as my colleges student body). Just a thought.

In another thought, wouldnt it be hilarious to see Tyrone and Bellwood Consolidated? that would be a relatively exciting AAA football team.

Southern Huntingdon plays AA because they co-op with Forbes road for football

That would mean Bellwood is biggest A school out there. I wonder if rock wood was in the field next year if BA would.of moved up. Sure the champagne in Bellwood is going off today

According to LAST numbers, Marion Center is 181. Larger than Bellwood.

I don't think state funding is tied to the sports enrollment....does anyone know for sure?

I think the athletic director submits a number to the piaa. prior to this cycle. forest hills had exactly 300 boys for 2 enrollment periods in a row. .. the last one they dropped.....

I think the numbers on the piaa site are from last cycle. not the newly submitted one.
