Didn't want/need him anyway? Heard that before from the Nits.

No I would've gladly taken a TE just saying the depth is not a major issue. Just like our depth at WR we don't absolutely have to take one but I'll gladly take another top WR recruit.

Clark definitely would have been a great get, but with Gesicki and Brenneman on the team it's not a huge loss. I expected PSU might get him after Saturday's comments, so Sunday's commitment was very surprising.

I can't say enough about what Franklin is doing for the talent level at Penn State. 5, 4 star commitments already for 2015. They are in the lead or top 2 for many others. This coming weekend there is a chance for a commit from another 4 star. I believe he will finish with a top 10 class this year and possibly top 5. That said, it's college recruiting of 18 year olds, so I will be shocked if every one of these kids stays committed up until signing day.

The kids below are visiting the weekend of the 22nd and watching a practice. Many say Sterling Jenkins will wait for a while before committing, but this weekend would not surprise me. Darius Fullwood also has potential to commit. The following weekend Jordan Whitehead visits. All are 4 star recruits. Brandon Wimbush is also said to be deciding soon. He is down to Miami, Ohio State, and Penn State. I would not be surprised to see Penn State with as many as 13 total recruits after it's spring game on April 12th.

LB Josh Barajas
RB Tamaine Boyd
DE Ryan Buchholz
LB Wyatt Cook
OL Austin Clark
DE Darius Fullwood
OL Steven Gonzalez
DB Damar Hamlin
OL Tommy Hatton
Ath. Myles Hartsfield
OL Sterling Jenkins
Ath. Daiquan Kelly
OL Hayden Mahoney
QB Cory Owen
RB Andre Robinson
Ath. Myles Robinson
RB Connor Slomka
DB Ashton White
WR Kobay White

No Commits, but a lot of positive feedback from kids on the new staff. I thought there was potential for a few commits, but it appears they have some work to do with a few kids.
