The only point that's being proved is how much you like to go in circles. At the top of this very page you explained that Crosby was not a better player than Kunitz just because he scored more, basically saying that stats aren't a factor. Then we proceed down here to where you cite Crosbys stats as to why he failed in these playoffs. Good job konjo! Once again you are on your game!

Yeah, you are going to bring in the leader BS you always resort to when your argument is going nowhere but I will say what I always do:
As a captain - 2 finals appearances 1 win
1 Olympic gold medal

As an alternate - 1 Olympic gold medal
Apart of the fastest turnaround in the history of the NHL.

dang he is just a horrible leader....

Oh and they have made the playoffs what? 7 straight years under his guidance.

I could keep going if you want?

How about all his individual accolades?

The fact that we even humor konjo with this discussion anymore is pretty sad, it's clear to everybody but his in denial ****. I like how he thinks his opinion higher than those who actually are in the league.

Two questions:

a) why are we still discussing this?

b) what do you suggest the pens do with Crosby? Trade him? Cut him? Waive him to the minors? Rip the "C" off his chest? Here are undisputed facts: Crosby is the most marketable player in the world. Crosby is the reigning Hart trophy winner. Crosby has 2 gold medals and a Stanley cup at age 27. This thread is about what the pens should do in the offseason. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Crosby will be one the team, centering the top line, and wearing the "C" come October. I'm really not sure what else there is to discuss about him.

I'm just tired of pens fans not blaming Crosby.... He was the problem again for them in the playoffs. What do you do? Take the C off his chest that's about all you can do. But saying he's never had top talent next to him is just a joke because he has had plenty of talent on his line throughout the past 5 years. And please bring up the Olympics more as if Canada couldn't put 2 teams together and still have both in the gold medal game!.

All I want to hear is Actual pens fans say what the rest of hockey knows. Crosby's play was a huge reason the pens lost ijnthe playoffs again this year, as it has been most years since winning the finals

Crosby played like **** in the playoffs. I hope the Pens cut him. I'd be surprised if he didn't clear waivers.

Happy now Konjo?

This in a nutshell proves how idiotic you really are. I will say what "the rest of hockey" says: he is the Ted Lindsay/Lester B. Pearson award winner, because that is the rest of hockey. At least the people who actually know what they are talking about. Not some middle aged dude who claims to live in Seattle and occasionally engage in talks about hockey with his poker buddies that also is continuously proved wrong with FACTS and STATS not just vague thrown together statements like you seem to favor.

Sometimes I honestly wonder if you get in here just to get into this argument, sometimes I wonder if you are just joking and saying things to kid us, but then I realize how in denial and spiteful. It's sad really.

You can give him all the regular season awards you want but with all the talent he has why is he consistently in the playoffs giving up more goals when he is on the ice then his team scoring?

For the best player in hockey to have 1 goal in 13 games this post season after coming off a year when he was held scoreless in the sweep of the pens?

Those are the stats I want you to address !?!?!?! If he's so amazing how come his top line has been outscored his last 5 playoff appearance? You keep avoiding that question unless its blaming his winger or goalie. I read hockey news and blogs.... The public opinion with the pens is that these changes won't make a difference of Crosby can't produce like the talented individual he is in the playoffs. Pens clearly don't care for regular season awards or why else would they fire a GM and coach that probably have the most wins during their tenures

We have addressed them... 13,000 times. I've got no idea why we are still talking about this. The Pens season is over and they didn't win the Cup. Just like your beloved Blackhawks led by the second coming of Christ JT and his right hand man Patrick Kane aren't winning the cup either. Why didn't they get the job done? Why wasn't JT a good leader? Get over it and move on like the rest of us have.

I'm sure the Pens are vastly concerned with what the public opinion of them is... I know most teams rely on ESPN/NBC/TSN to gauge their teams ability. Maybe the Pens should have saved some capital and just used ESPN Insider instead of a new GM/Management team to scout players since public opinion matters so much. I think I have Mario's # somewhere... I'll let him know thats the way to go now.

2013/2014 season is in the books and I'm over it... I know Crosby sucked in the playoffs and I know the Pens have issues. I also am optimistic those issues get addressed properly and that 87 is a better player next year through June not just April. What I don't know is why you have such a hard on about all of this?
