garrett scott
I have no doubts in my minds that scott will be the 130 pound champ considering he only allowed 3 points this year and thats impressive to me and no doubts he should be a state champ

The kid was a national freestyle champ before he even stepped on the mat in a varsity match. And he beat Coleman Scott in the process. That is pretty darn impressive if you ask me. There has been some great wrestlers such as Kolat but if you could compare the two at a similar age I would give Garrett the edge.
Although Garrett Scott is a tremendous wrestler, I have to disagree with your remark about Scott having the edge of Kolat at this given age. In reality, Scott shouldn't have won last year. I believe Strayer should have been the champ. Also, Kolat never lost. Scott has. Kolat won a record seven PJW titles. I do beleive Scott is outstanding, but I beleive kolat has the edge

because its an inane argument, thats why. do you think garrett cares? i doubt it. i wasnt anywhere near as good as garrett is and being compared to people just ticked me off. you are who you are, and shouldnt be weighed on a scale with someone completely different than you. thats all im saying. opinions on whos gonna win, etc, etc is a completely different story
I don't understand why this is being blown out of proportion. What is it so wrong to compare to people. It is constantly done in every sport. There is not one thing with comparing Garrett to Kolat at similar ages. It helps to give us a gauge of how the best stack up against the best. Just because you hate getting compared to other people packerfan doesn't make it an insane arguement. Its harmless conversation. We sit here all the time and talk about how other people compare to Jake Strayer and nobody says anything about that. I think you just need to not get so worked up about this and let others have a harmless conversation. If you don't like it then don't look at the posts and don't reply to them

Getting back to the whole High School/College practice deal. I believe it is true that Garrett beats Adam Smith, because I personally know another highschooler who beats him this year when they wrestle. Also, this type of thing has been going on for alot of years. I remember high school wrestlers wrestling with UPJ about 13 or 14 years ago.
