Two record breaking performances....Caldwell with 401 passing yards and 7 TD. Tutino with 12 catches for 286 yards and 5 TD catches.
Will Purchase Line forfeit this game at the last minute next year?
Glad the boys had a good game and they are getting some stats back from their forfeit. This isn't about the kids, its about the adult leaders with ego problems that no one will reign in...this was at the expense of the PL kids. LV had starters in at the end of the 3rd, winning by almost 50.

Absolutely not true. The starters played the first defensive drive of the 3rd and the first offensive drive of the 3rd and that’s it.

I can definitely see both sides to this and get why PL might be ticked off because the score was lopsided and LV threw the ball during the one third quarter possession that the starters played instead of electing to run. Let’s not make this more than it was though. They played one defensive and one offensive possession. Tutino was taken out one offensive play in and the rest of the starters finished the drive. I don’t think it’s a big deal that the starters played one possession into the third quarter. You’re right, it was close to the end of the quarter because the clock was running due to mercy rule. They have to get some football in sometime. They’ve already lost a game due to forfeit. You can’t expect them to pull all of the starters at halftime of every game. By the way, PL has some nice athletes. I was impressed at how they could throw early in the game. Surprised they don’t have a better record.

Tutino needed 1 catch to break the record, got it on a short pass, and was promptly taken out.  Caldwell needed 25 and got it and was taken out.
PL kept their starters in and kept throwing...was LV just expected to put their 5 sophomores and the rest of their freshman into the game against PL’s juniors and seniors?  Would Glen Richards approve of the safety of this decision?!
Maybe the game wouldn’t have been so lopsided if PL played any kind of effective defensive coverage scheme, or didn’t try to throw it repeatedly in the 2nd quarter, giving LV the ball back multiple times.
PL has some nice players with some grit, but they certainly aren’t placed in the best positions to win.
By the way, Tutino battled an illness all week and threw up multiple times on the field and on the sideline tonight, yet still had an all-time game.  People are absolutely sleeping on how special these few years have been at LV, and this year’s team is special again.

We are spending time on the Rams playing but nothing about NC doing an onside kick up almost 30?

I'm equally repulsed by this.  I don't know the history, so possibly this was retaliation for something that happened in the past, not that it makes it ok.  The football coaching profession seems to attract a lot of power-hungry, a-holes.

When it comes to possibly running up the score to pad stats I don’t know if we can let Shade off the hook

I don’t care what they do this year. They have been the whipping boy longer than everyone and I’m not sure how long that program will survive after this year.
In other news, I’m glad to see Caldwell have such a great performance. I’d argue that he’s more important to that team than Tutino. He’s been accurate and smart with the football the last two years. I only wish he was taller
