As I read these posts from the bedford side...........I sit here and laugh. Yes Forbes Road is in the middle of BFE and you may have beaten them 8-3 the last time you hooked up. But I can remember just about 4 or 5 years back when Forbes Road walked all over you guys. Seeing Forbes on the schedule then was a joke well hey buddy the jokes on you. Also Bedford plays in the LHACBDL league............whatever you shouldn't compare leagues its childish.

As far as Forbes this year............Brandon Gelvin is one the best in the area.......Kodi Gartland is the best in the area......and they both play defense.........i'd say they have a good shot, but then again they don't play in LHACBDL league

im sorry gunner but everytime you say that it makes me chuckle alittle bit. and forbes, as far as how many games you'll win in districts im stickin with gunner and saying 1, i still havent seen the district brackets yet, but hopefully you play rockwood, and knock them out because i think your capable of beating them, only because they never seem to bring there best game when playing a team there confident about beating, and also i dont think my heart will make it through another game with rockwood this year.

Well Gunner i can say without a doubt that Forbes was not the only school on here talking crap , im not going to deny that some of the players did, but i have seen players from other schools doing the same stuff.
So for you to single out one school and talking about them is wrong , you werent at the game so you did not see how it went.
We had loads of chances and didnt get the job done , maybe the ref missed a handball on that one goal , but thats the way it goes , that is no excuse we didnt finish and they got what they needed , but when it goes to penalties after ot its not skill its jus a matter of who can stick em.
I didnt care for the move of NBC protesting the game at all i felt it was underhanded , because that should have been done before the season if they had a problem with the field , not 2 days before the game , but they advance on and we dont.
So Gunner that comment from you isnt exactly correct esp. since all you do is put down all the teams in Somerset,Bedford,Fulton county area`s except for Bedford and Conemaugh .
Sometimes good teams cant finish that happens it just happened at the worst time for Forbes thats all.

star, the only reason i said what i singled out FR is because they couldnt back up their talk with their performance...i dont bad mouth conemaugh or bedford because as far as i know..they are still going strong. besides, other than me there hasnt been any bedford players talkin smack on here (except a few that r just messin around cuz they know it bothers me) but your right, i wasnt at the game, i dont know what went down, all i do know is that people thought i was crazy for saying FR would only win 1 game and that i was being a jerk for saying that, well here they are having won 0 games. either way the FR people learned a valuable lesson, that talk is cheap and its what you do to back up your talk that matters. Conemaugh can say just about whatever they want because they have more boys soccer district titles than any other team in the district, and they continue to win the titles. until their reign of dominance stops, then they can say whatever they want in my opinion

Protest you say? I know the size of the field really would not matter but when the 18 box is almost part of the out of bounds, then that is horrible. As the rules state, the field must be 110ydsx55yds. The rules are very clear and there is nothing to debate. Forbes Road however did earn a home playoff game but they should have extended the out of bounds line closer to the school. There is room for it there. Throw ins can almost be scored from there. Any regular sized field, you can not do that.

Gunner i wont argue that with you , i believe the same that until Conemaugh`s reign is ended they cant talk all they want , but a lot of other teams have no room to talk at all, Forbes included.
To be the team you got to beat the team and so far no one has shown they can beat Twp. consistently.
007 there is a right way and a wrong way to handle things and NBC chose the wrong way.
You want to protest the field fine go ahead, but not 2 days before a playoff game , they lost my respect when they did that, they should have protested earlier in the year and you are right Forbes earned home field advantage and for them to try to take it away like that was wrong .
I expected better from there coach than that , i understand the minimum requirements , but no one voiced any protests in about 10 years why start just 2 days before a game.
Again was the field too narrow yes, did NBC do things in a decent and respectful manner absolutely not, but they won so they earned the right to advance on.

district 5 is about as backwards as they come. in district 6, if a team does not have a gate, lights, and well maintained feild the cannot, i repeat CANNOT host a playoff game. this is why Bedford, Somerset, Huntingdon, and more recently Johnstown will host several "neutral" location games. district 6 is very good about field conditions and the sort, it makes it very nice because you know you wont be playing in a small opening in the woods like at FR (a lil over-exaterated i know, but you get the point) also, district 6 holds the championships at the same place every year, before Trojan Stadium was built the games were held at Mansion Park, at the time this was the absolute best venue available, now all games are held at Johnstown because the surface is much more suitable for soccer than at Mansion Park.
