i heard the ridge D never pushed up at all....the stopper never made it to midfield...is that true?
if it is then id say your D coach needs to be fired and never return to soccer again...your not gonna win games by holding your defense in your half of the field, the stopper should be supporting the attack and the fullbacks should be available to make overlapping runs, the sweeper can even make some runs now and then but he should be at midfield at least.

Re: CR vs. Bedford
EVERYONE BUT OUR DEFENSIVE COACH SEES THIS! I can't understand what mind set he's in, but I've tried to go up and support, but I'm always yelled at by him took come back. When I was up there I picked up almost every ball that came my way, I think there was one that got through, but our sweeper was right there to support. I'm talking to Hainsey on monday about taking control of his team, I don't care if I'm benched. Defense needs to push up and stay there, I don't care what our defensive coach thinks.

Thanx cheer, I'm jsut so sick of losing and Hainsey not telling Maghuey to shut up and let us do what we think is necessary to win. We're out there, not him.

Yeah it would, he'd get run over. (joke...laugh freely
) I think that the captains, me being one of them, have to talk to Hainsey or something. Things need to change or we will just keep losing. Were you at the game cheer?

I see, well hopefully you can go to one and see what we are talking about on here. If ya do go, be sure to cheer on #21 and #22, the defensive cousins.

Only so much blame can be put on the officiating... afterall it was a 5-0 loss not a 1-0 game. I was there for the entire match and I can honestly say that the officiating wasn't that bad... they were letting alot of stuff go but it was both ways. I like to think that I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to soccer, i've been around the game for the better part of 15 years. I was really dissapointed with some of the Ridge fans tonight though... I heard more then one person use profanites in a loud enough voice for me to hear 25 feet away. I also heard people say stuff like "break his legs" or "take him out"... no matter who the opponent you should never wish an injury upon another person. The sad part is... most of the people saying such things weren't teenagers, they were adults. Its pathetic when an adult verbally attacks a 16-18 year old KID.
That little rant is not ment to offend anyone, just stating something that i think was a little uncalled for.
The game was hard fought and intense, Ridge just couldn't get anything going but they never gave up... which was good to see. Some parents need to remember...it's only a game!
