Holly,
Come to Tussey and spread the love. There is no where to go but up.
I think you and Bails would make a great tag team. You could probably even get sneakers to help.

OK...forget about Coach Nastasi then...

How bout this one...also from NBC:

John Yaccino
1968: 0-9
1969: 2-7

OUCH! He started of 2-16 and NBC was doing NOTHING. Luckily, they didn't write him off right away and send him packing. I'm sure the Panther faithful were saying who the heck is this guy....
THEN...

1970: 8-1
1971: 8-1
1972: 7-3
1973: 9-0-1
4 year total: 32-5-1

HOLY CRAP! This guy went on to have one of the greatest runs in Panther football history. He left after the 73 season and Gironda took over. The winning that Yaccino started continued...
1974-1976: AN AMAZING---24-2-1

So....from 1970 to 1976 NBC had one of the most successful runs in high school football that a team can have. Over those 7 seasons, the team went a combined 56-7-2.

Thank goodness they didn't give up all hope when Yaccino's boys started off 2-16!

Somehow this will mean nothing though and people will talk about boxing. I took a half hour to make this post and it will go to waste with 30 second replies.

Oh well, I gave some people a nice history lesson!

Here is where I get all of my information....

Also...the man that I view as a legend started of with 7 losing seasons in his first 10...which I didn't note before...again...thank God they kept him though because he is the winningest coach in NBC history by far! Was winning all that mattered? Nope because the two teams I played on under him were a combined .500 and I still think he is an AWESOME coach that I'd do anything for. He taught me a lot about life through football and that's what it is all about.

I don't think you can appoint yourself as "da man"....I would think that has to come from someone else...

it is tough to figure out when he's just being ornery to get people riled up and when he's seriously just being arrogant...

ah, doesn't it really matter anyway....as a friend of mine says, there are talkers and there are doers...he's talking about something he hasn't done yet...I'll withhold judgement until he does...
