Re: Districts
According to seeds Meyerdale has a kid (Poliniek)spp in the 800m seeded at 1:58! What a time! Does anyone know where he ran it? I had not heard of this kid before I saw his seeded time.

Re: Districts
maryland isn't as good in sports as pennsylvania namely wrestling and track! but to say you beat a state champ from anywhere is saying something this 800m at districts keeps getting more and more exciting!

Re: Districts
Coach I tells me this Meyersdale runner is from down in the Cumberland area, and he doesn't know how he's running for Meyersdale, but that if he is, it must be legal somehow. That's all I've heard on him. I figure that if this kid runs 1:58, even if he wins districts, he might drag along Clement and Showalter to state qualifying times.

Re: Districts
i noticed a while back on the 1st page you were talking about Mike Podlesnik. The real word on Podlesnik is that he is a sophmore from Salisbury(salisbury and meyersdale go together for boys and girls soccer, track, westling, and cross county) which is definitly in Pa not from the Cumberland Area. He never ran track before this year. He did beat the Maryland state champ and yes he is a very good runner. I dont know how he did today but i bet he won the 800.
Re: Districts
yeah he did win the 800m but barely!
and 2 of his relay teamates said he was from maryland last year not saying he doesn't go to salisbury and competes for meyersdale though!
but he could contend for a medal at states as could clement from windber!

Re: Districts
ok, to clear up these rumors about Mike Podlesnik,
he's a sophomore at Salisbury which is right below Meyersdale school district, so it is not in Maryland, tho it is near the Maryland border. Salisbury students run track for Meyersdale because they lack a track program at their school. This kid has unbelievable talent, he broke the district 5 record for the 800 timed at around 1:58, Clement also qualifyed for states.....Podlesnik also was a member of Meyersdale's winning 4x8 relay team whom will also be at .
could have qualifyed for states in the 400, have no reason why he didnt run it
