Are you Steve Gates????? because I don't know WHO you are, nor do I care. Just giving examples of McCort kids who had NOTHING to do with the district they lived in.

I think its time for el-moldo to let this one go....this thread was just to let people see that an ex-LH star is doing great in college, not to debate whether or not his team is bad or his competition is weak. The bottom line is that Scott is having success playing at the next level. If El-Moldo thinks D-1AA football is so pathetic, he should consider walking on...I'm sure he still has college eligibility.

I wonder if El-Moldo would be putting down Travis Rearick if he was the leading passer in NCAA football just because he is playing Division II ???

I-aa Mid-major football is pathetic, compared to "true" I-aa AND division I football. As username just said, he would "guess" that St. Francis would "probably" beat Division III CMU. Probably. This should end all that national level stuff.

hypothetics are what make internet chat rooms, but moldy your wrong in your view that you cant cheer for a player who played at a rival high school. The former players that played in the FH-McCort rvalry are all friends. Are they disloyal to FH? And I'm not sure that they couldnt wait to leave FH that is a low blow and probaly taken out of context. Point being rather a player is playing D1 from richland, carrol, jtown FH or mccort they are ALL from the jtown area and should be supported!

My hypothetical game between CMU and St. Francis was set up to prove my point about the quality of play by St. Francis and the NEC. username responded by saying that he "Guesses" that St. Francis would win. Doesn't that translate to "probably"???? If I would have asked who would win between CMU and Delaware, or Youngstown State, or Georgia Southern there would have been NO GUESSING about the outcome. It would have been emphatic. And that's the difference in quality of play between I-aa mid-major teams and "true" I-aa teams. So much for that national level stuff.

kingdomofcrush07: Ever hear of the phrase "reading is fundamental"? Well so is reading comprehension. Show me where I said kids from rivalry schools CAN'T ROOT FOR INDIVIDUALS!!!!!! I did say that in a true rivalry, one school won't root for their rival school. What does that have to do with individual players?

Also, and I know you are new on here, but it was drummed into our heads under past topics that the Lewis' boys mother was pissed at FH and couldn't get her kids out of FH fast enough!!!!! Where have you been? THIS WAS NOT taken out of context and is NOT some sort of LOW BLOW. I am just repeating what we have been constantly told over the last many months. Can you represent a school that your mother loathes?????

And back to the quality of play in I-aa. At the end of the regular season, 16 teams are selected to play in the I-aa playoffs to determine the National Champ. Eight of these teams are conference champions, eight are at large bids. Why is the NEC champion not included in the playoff bids? The NEC basketball champ gets an automatic bid in the NCAA basketball tournament, why not in football? Why are the I-aa mid-majors excluded?
