Re: Pitt game, Penn St. game
OK, since most of you PSU fans are either wannabes, or branch campus flunkies, Here's the MONEY:
PSU records vs. select opponents since joining the Big preTENd in 1993...
tOSU 6-10
Iowa 5-7
MIch 4-10
Wisky 6-6
TOTAL 21-33 38.9% winning %age
This is even better...PSU's record vs. select big preTENd opponents since 2000...
tOSU 3-6
Iowa 1-6
Mich 1-6
Wisky 4-4
TOTAL 9-22 29.0% winning %age
Take out Wisky and your record against tOSU, MIch, and Iowa is a whopping 5-18 since 2000, for a whopping 22% winning %age.
WHO'S YOUR DADDY in the Big preTEND? I guess you have three fathers, Iowa, Michigan, and tOSU...
Someone better call Dr. Navorro Bowman, maybe he has a cure for this problem...

You seem to have a lot of free time on your hands to research what happens at Penn State. Maybe you could do it since you are obsesssed.WPIAL~Titan wrote:Still waiting for PSU's record vs. tOSU, Michigan, Iowa, and Wisky...

Re: Pitt game, Penn St. game
LOL @ Kirk acting like I have all this free time on my hands...I'm never too busy to slam the Nits...FYI, it took me about 45 seconds to research this info and type it.
With that said, it's taken 16 years for PSU to poop the bed against those 3 opponents.
Hope you're enjoying PSU's 22% against the "haves" in the Big preTENd...If there is such a thing as a "have" in that conference...

Re: Pitt game, Penn St. game
Just pointing out that you are clearly obsessed with a team that you haven't played in almost 10 years. You put more time into Penn State losing than you do paying attention to your team that has finished in the top 25 3 times since 1984. My guess is that if Penn State and Pitt play at the same time you would rather watch Penn State and hope they lose instead of watching Pitt and hope they win. I think it's time to throw that 1981 Dan Marino jersey in the wash and wash out the tears.WPIAL~Titan wrote:LOL @ Kirk acting like I have all this free time on my hands...I'm never too busy to slam the Nits...FYI, it took me about 45 seconds to research this info and type it.

Re: Pitt game, Penn St. game
Kirk,
That's it, talk of my Anti-Nitter obsession, make cracks about me having a Marino jersey, etc. just so you can avoid the issues...All I am asking you to do is to LOOK AT THE NUMBERS...What part of the data don't you understand? I post the Nitter Crime Report, and now some hard data on how PSU has done against the upper echelon of the Little preTENd, and you have NO ANSWERS. In typical Nitter fashion, you avoid the truth at all costs.
Maybe in the words of Colonel Jessup, "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH"...Maybe Colonel Paterno did order the Code Red on Santaigo at Connor's dorm a few years back???
Just like Shakira's hips don't lie, the numbers don't lie: PSU is only the 4th best team in their own CONFERENCE since 1993, and worse since 2000.
The sanctimonious, arrogant, brainwashed Nitter fans like yourself who know no better than to just think what they're told to and to drink the Paterno Kool Aid.
Convince me and anyone else who isn't a blind Nitter otherwise that PSU isn't anything special when you look at the numbers. Show me the evidence that proves that PSU is better than the 4th best team in the Little preTENd. PSU beats up on the Northwesterns and Minnesotas of the world. Oh yeah, unless it was 1999, when PSU had one of the the most talented teams in the country and lost 3 games, INCLUDING ONE AT HOME TO MINNESOTA.
If PSU's so great this year, explain this to me: How is it that they're only ranked a few spots above the lowly Pitt Panthers in all of the Polls, including the BCS standings?
Maybe it's the fault of bad officiating! That's what JokePA would say.

Re: Pitt game, Penn St. game
I'm just stating facts, Titan. I'm no kool-aid drinker trust me. I hate the fact Penn State's in the Big Ten. I hate the fact they don't play Pitt any more. In my opinion, not playing Penn State is the best thing that can happen to Pitt Fans. They can claim they'd win year in and year out without actually playing the game and hold on to their 12-0 victory from 2000. You should be happy.
I'm one of the few Penn State fans that think Penn State will be a better team once Paterno leaves. Paterno's been holding them back for years. In saying that, since 2005 Penn State has been 1 play away from the National title game twice. A game in which they may or may not have been taken to the woodshed, but when is the last time Pitt can say they have been one play from a National title game? 1981? Penn State has a chance to win the Big ten 3 of the last 5 years. How many times has Pitt won the big East?
I know it's probably tough as a Pitt Fan to see what's coming in the near future. Pitt becomes more irrelevant every year. Barring an oncampus stadium Pitt will eventually become an afterthought. It has to be tough to watch but it makes sense why you are so Bitter.

Re: Pitt game, Penn St. game
WPIAL, since you seem to devote your time trying to justify that Penn State is bad, how about you give us some facts about why Pitt is relevant? Explain what separates Pitt from the pack in the Big East. Tell us what the last thing Pitt did that was worth mentioning. Pitt sucks and you don't care. At least at Penn State there seems to be a desire to win. Not the case for Pitt. Maybe Penn State has had it rough in the Big Ten for a while but at least there are signs of that program going in the right direction (2 conf. titles in 4 years, 3 bowl wins in 4 years, top recruiting classes year after year). What is going on positive at Pitt? I guarantee that you will avoid this question.
Why should Penn State fans have to defend their program against Pitt fans? Here is an idea, fix your own problems because I guarantee you that there are some to be found in Pitt's program. Keep living in your little dreamland.
