I think that goes without saying, because every team that's in the field is a good team or else they wouldn't have reached the playoffs. Unless it's one of those crazy schools that win like 6 games and send their teams to the playoffs anyways.

The way that it is set up this year, teams could pitch their ace in both of the first 2 rounds because of the 3 days in between games (Thursday and Monday). I am not a big fan of this because teams should have to have more than 1 good pitcher to advance far in the playoffs... the way it is this year your ace could pitch 3 out of the 4 games in the district playoffs... Havent seen MU play this year but I know they have some good pitching and they should get by CC in round 1 setting up an intruiging matchup with BM in round 2 at the Point...

trojan,
my friend said he saw CC play twice. the first time they got trounced by forest hills (I think) even when Nalisnick pitched. The second time they were at forest hills and they beat them in a close game. From what he could remember the leadoff and 3-4-5 hitters looked to be alright, but the bottom of the order wasn't so great. But looking at both games against the same team, they seem to be either really good or really bad.

i feel guilty though...i've been out of the MU area for a while this spring and only a couple days ago came back. How are the boys doing this year? Anyone having a particularly good season?

Dixion will probably pitch the first game , but dont be surprised to see Goodling take the mound for the 2nd game. And Walters is batting a high .450 and the rest seem to be i the .300's.

I talked to someone who saw CC play at the Curve Classic vs Clearfield. He said that Clearfields pitcher wasn't outstanding, mixed his pitches well though, and pretty much shut them down. But CC's pitching looked good though. McGregor gave up 2 in the first but none in the next 4, and Nalisnick came in for the last two and didn't give up a hit. He said they're no push over but we should win if we play like we have all season.
Also does anyone know Dixon's stats? I know he is pitching great, but am just wondering about his ERA, wins, etc.

I believe that Dixon has 5 wins and his era has to be in the 1's. He has alot of strikeouts, i'm going to guess around 70. He is pitching fantastic as long as Goodling and Imperioli. They all have to have era's under 2. The major thing with this team is hitting, but if they can start to rap out the hits and score 5 or 6 runs every game then watch out for this team, they are a major contender.

Yes but im afraid to say this becuase i know i will get jumped all over but i believe the trojans will be one and done. For one reason. Dixon will pitch a great game, but the trojan hitting will come out weak and end the game the same. Walters will go 3-4 like always. Then after that no one else will follow up. This will be just like the PO game last season.

I also believe it will be a low scoring game

Beaston is hitting well, Goodling and Walker are contributing and Clemens is hitting a low .300 but i still think the boys can pull this out. Dixion and the other pitchers can keep the score low and the Trojans won't need alot of hits but will need to be smart and score.
