very true but he clearly was a better athlete/ QB than all of them. Could have done some amazing stuff with a line and a rush game!

No one would ever know if he was recruited. Maybe it was his choice to stay at Richland

Not so fast there patty: Jordon D. In 2 yrs 4,483 yds passing.......Senior yr 2,650 passing yds. 28 tds

Now how about performances in big games.....let's look @ D6 Championship games, shall we: vs CC in ‘07... 21-31 258 yds 2tds & vs Tyrone in ’06 9-15 208 yds 3 tds!

They were both excellent QBs who played in different offenses. Jordan played huge in those big games as you alluded 2 and they had all the ability to go deep in the playoffs. He was well protected and could step up and make big throws on the money. I believe that Pecora would have been a good fit for the mccort offense and done well with backs like Lewis and Lowry. I am not so sure that DeFrances would have exceled in the spread, playing defense, returning punts etc. They were both great players and played very well in their repsective systems.

All around Pecora was a hell of an athlete, but Defrances was one of the best quarterbacks I've seen in awhile.

Well from my perspective atleast. Yes JD had great stats for McCort, but Pecora did amazing things at Rland without a supporting cast such as McCorts. You put JD in another offense without a line and a run game and it would have been a different career. Fact is it is my opionion , both should be proud of what they have done, and they are both elite QBs.

Alright I had the (so far) in about the middle of the season and now here is the final Passing Stats for 2008

Rank Name School Yards
1. Giovanni Ramires Richland 2235
2. Chris Brown Bishop Guilfoyle 1444
3. Zack Glessner Forest Hills 1377
4. Caleb Vescovi Cambria Heights 1043
5. John Siciliano Johnstown 817
6. Jack Schrey Bishop McCort 768
7. Josh Swick Westmont 703
8. Mike Short Bedford 691
9. Timothy Myers Central Cambria 587
10. Trevor Niemiec Somerset 477

I got these stats from Max preps which the coaches submit the stats so if you think these might be off it's because they were not updated but for the most part these are pretty accurate.

I was expecting Ramires to have over 300 yards against heights last night but not many teams can say this...the Heights had more yards passing then Richland?? I read that in the paper this morning and it kinda surprised me. Vescovi went over the 1000 yard mark last night too..Still no where close to Ramires, Brown and Glessner but still good work by him.
