The OG thought FH has the game in the bag, then the mishandled reverse changes the whole game. The other HUGE play was the 4th and 13 conversion in the 2nd quarter.

Hats off to a scrappy Central team. The Runk kid was as advertised. I was very impressed...a true game breaker...and only a sophomore, it's hard to believe. Congratulations to Central.

Forest Hills never could get both their air and ground attack going at the same time this year. Early in the year it was a lot of Glessner/Rosenberger...late in the year a lot of Mehall, but they never were able to get both facets working for them.

Regardless, this years Seniors of the G & G brought the pride back to the program after last year's poor showing. Hopefully in 09 we can make it back to the carpet.

Devil's -16 1/2 next week.

I was at the game and the FH strategy to kick off to start the 2nd half was sound. As you knew by being there, all 4 tds in the 1st half came WITH the wind. It was FH's choice to kick off or receive to start the 2nd half. The theory would be, kick off, make Central start off deep in their own territory, hold them for 3 downs and make them kick into the wind. It worked perfectly. FH kicked off, held Central to a 3 and out, and forced a punt INTO the wind. FH got the ball at mid-field at 9:41 of the 3rd quarter. FH got at least ONE first down, when the FH QB was picked off and the ball taken deep into FH territory. The strategy worked perfectly, however, what can you say about turnovers? The strategy was fine.

what a horrible passing game by forest hills tonight, qb made a couple bad reads and the central defenders made some great plays. great game by central and they deserved the tough win

Agreed Moldo...that didn't lose FH the game. It was a good call. The wind was fierce to start the 2nd half.

Central won the game by making big play after big play. Central won the game...FH didn't lose it.

FH threw 3 interceptions. The first one hit off the hands of the receiver and was deflected into the arms of a defender. Can't say that was a bad read. That short field gave Central the score before the half to go up 15-12. The second int was the killer inside Central's 40 to start the half. There was another int with less than a minute to go. The wind made it hard for either team to pass.

I have to give it to Centrals QB and the coaching staff. Centrals line isn't the biggest line and neither is the whole team but they have speed. Running that sweep reverse halfback pass (???) was genius. Forcing FH into the dime and making the safety's' come up set the play up perfectly. But congrats to Forest Hills for an awesome season and good luck to Central next week.
