Chances are Clairton and SH play in the championship. Both teams went toe-to-toe with the best but came up short.

Central seems to be the lost team around town, they only lost by 2 to a quality ball club.

Having 2 teams in the top 8 in A and AA is something to be proud of and Im sure none of these kids will forget it!

Steel High was definatley better then McCort...(they were no Portage though) but McCort was hanging with this team for a long time. if BM stops them on the 4th and 4 maybe McCort has a chance ut they didnt well executed by SH....hats off to Steel High for scoring down the strech when they needed too. Lowry Reynoolds McAnety Pioli had traffic games. They along with the rest of the team had a great season....they shoulkd be commended for their efforts. Eric Lowry finished 1 TD shy of Pete Duranko's TD record....and finisbes his career as one of mccort's most accomplised players ever.....He made some big plays friday night and did everything he could towin that game. Hats off to him and the McCort seniors. 36-5 overall record....impressive record indeed. Good luck to Steel High the rest of the way.

C'mon crimsoncrazy, quit talking about that 4th and 4. Even if SH doesnt get it it wouldnt have mattered. Other than the first drive McCort couldnt move the ball at all. Also, it was so obvious watching the game it was only a matter of time until Young broke one.

If you wanna play the if game---IF SH doesnt fumble so many time they score 50.

ive clearly stated over and over again Steel High was a better team. But they dont get that 4th and 4 it might be a different story...McCort mightve taken a few more minutes off the clock and Steel High probably would have still won but they might not have gotten to 27 points.

First of all hats off to Coach Salem and the entire Crusher coaching staff and all their players on another outstanding season. And i agree with CrimsonCrazy, yes Steelton is better then McCort, but if McCort holds on 4th and 4 like they had the whole game untill then who knows what happens they may even pull the upset. And another big play i look at was in the 2nd quarter with McCort up 3-0 and driving Seidel rips a 15 yard run down to the Steelton 35 or so, but it comes back because of a holding McCort then punts and Young breaks his first big TD run if that play stands and say McCort scores on that drive to make it 10-0 or even 6-0 again who knows what happens. But still give credit to the Crushers for going toe-to-toe with the number one team in the state and having them on the ropes for 3 and a half quarters.

I have to agree with Crimson09 on this one. I think Lowry should have had more touches the first half. Although, I also believe it wouldn't have made much of a difference. #50 was a man among boys out there and he was going to punish whoever ran the ball.. Great year to McCort and hopefully they can make it 4 for 4 next year!!
