If you think Pitt is a terrible program, then you MUST accept worse than mediocrity from Penn State, since their record is VIRTUALLY THE SAME as Pitt's over the last decade.

Here are some facts for you. Since Joining the Big East in 1991 in 18 seasons Pitt has had

9 seasons below .500
2 seasons at .500
7 seasons above .500

they did however have a stellar year in 2002 finishing 19th in the nation.

They have played in 7 bowl games since joining having quite a run in 2000 of 5 in a row.

Luckily, Va Tech, Miami, and BC left the big east allowing Pitt to become a team that can win the necessary 6 games to see bowl action. Imagine any conference losing their 3 best teams and still thinking they are relevant.

Say what ya want about Penn States record to Michigan, Ohio State, and Iowa but the only 3 teams in your conference worth a crap other than West Virginia left your conference and you still can't win it.

I did check out Pitt's OOC vs. PSU's for the next year. They're going to the current #2's home to play an OOC game. Any time Pitt can top that, you let me know. Until the shut the F*ck up and keep watching your below average team. And keep rooting against a team that consistently finishes with the top teams in the NATION. While Pitt can only dream of attaining that status.
