Crimson I think its funny that your running your mouth about 2 teams you know nothing about this year. Good call on the game.

Bud its easy to say that Portage would lose to North Star and Berlin when we don't play them. I understand you wanted to post your little comical lines to get a rise outta people from Gouses comments after last weeks game. I was at the game tonight and almost called it perfectly(I said CR would win by 18 and it was 17 instead), With Ridge being up 28 - 6 at halftime I didn't know what to expect after the break, but the boys in green put up a decent fight and showed they had some heart to be competitive. Portage did just what i said they'd have to do and came out Passing and in Shotgun and did it many times over the night, Ridge(although they had 2 INT's) didn't have much of any pass defense at all. Shoemaker did a great job in just running the ball with their QB and Donatelli all night and not trying to get cute with a non-existing passing game.

Why pass when you can shove it down the throat of a terrible defense?

Isn't that exactly what i said at the end of my post sir? And let me be the first Portage fan this is the worst tackling mustangs defense i've seen in years and overrall its not a really good unit. And i agree the defense was on their heels all the first half, but the second half they were far from terrible in my eyes they forced and held Ridge to 7 points which was scored very late with maybe 5:00 to go with a short field after Portage turned it over on downs inside their own 40. So please give the kids credit for stepping up some in the second half and making it interesting.

first of all its not BUD. second it is easy to say it because this is a season that has berlin and n.s. a better team, those portage kids played hard and i have not put them down, its the arrogance of the coach and the poor sportsmanship of the parents who feel they can do and say whatever they want to those people sitting in the visitors side, when i see a kid go down my mouth is shut until i see he is ok.. your so called fans are cheering as our player is lying on the ground... enough said...you had your accolades the past 3-4 years and i was one of those congratulating them. but when you have a loud mouth coach who takes away from the kids who finally pinned a loss on him saying they did nothing, this is what you get

Ok SIR, i understand your dislike for gouse, maybe people in my own town of Portage dislike gouse. He made the comments about the CT game in the papers because Portage had over 100 yards in penalties and turned the ball over early and often so he stated so. Could he have said that CT then capitalized on those mistakes well sure, but thats not his style and never has been, so you just gotta deal with it. And honestly i think its hilarious the people crying on here about how much Portage fans support their team home or away and take up both sides of the bleachers, get to the game earlier if everyone is so "worried" about losing their seat to a mustang fan i guess? Now i've been going to mustang games for many years and NEVER and i mean NEVER have i heard our fans BOO when an opposing kid is injured thats just ridiculous, I can't monitor every fan in the stadiums but i'm sorry if one random boo'ing fan is causing this obsured opinion. And finally you can say its EASY to say THIS and its EASY to say THAT but when it still comes down to it Portage plays neither North Star or Berlin so you'll never know who would win no matter how much you're "SURE" of it. Those programs are having fine seasons and hope for their success and represent the WestPac well in the playoffs.

had nothing to do with how he stated that, i could have easily said that penalties cost c.t. 2 touchdowns, on holding penalties that happened after the ball was thrown. 14 points off the board. but they were penalties, you didnt hear zambanini stating we should have won 35- 14, no penalties are a part of the game that happen to both sides, yours cost you 15 yds 2 times and still had first down after them. ours cost us 2 touchdowns. and what i said about the stands is not just me many have said that on here, and when i pan the camera over to the home side and see tons of space, and i was there early, and then look down at the visitors side with portage blankets all through the area, then yes, they are over there to harass the parents. my beef is not with any of the players, its with those idiots that made several of our parents move because of what they said and a coach who is so arrogant he cannot accept defeat. cant wait to see what he says in the paper tomorrow..
