Producing points? First of all he has at least 7 points in these playoffs (sorry I can't back that up with an actual number) win or lose everything they have done has been a team effort so far this season except for malkins Hatty, other people have stepped up an Sid hasn't had to score, above all things he has been setting people up so you saying he is pointless is totally wrong. Second, if your only argument as to why sid has been playing "bad" is that he hasn't been scoring goals then you totally contradicted yourself from previous arguments where you said ovechkin is terrible, but all he does is score goals! Which is it? Players are on the ice for a reason, Crosby has a role, and he is filling it very well. Anybody that has watched this postseason knows that.

God I hate to agree with Aoki on anything but he is right....

If Sid had 10 goals and the Pens got bounced what good does that do? You'd spend the entire time comparing him to Ovechkin and being "one-dimensional" then.

You hate Crosby and thats fine. I hate Giroux but I recognize him as a top tier talent. I hated Michael Jordan but would never say he isn't one of the best ever. At some point you just have to stop finding reasons to think he isn't "elite" or whatever the hell word you want to use. He is going to do 100 good things in a game and you will find the one negative thing just b/c that makes you feel better. There is 0 doubt in my mind if Sid played for the Flyers (makes me sick to think about) you would be singing a different tune.

6 points in 8 games? Less than 1 point per game... Next he has been bad defensively, -3 I'm game 1! If he was such a great defensive player he wouldn't of been on the ice for not one or two goals but all 3 during the game! His line was scored on consistently in the cbj series as well. To say his defensive play has been good would be unexpected, I just assumed we both agree that part of his game has been really bad. So if his line is giving up the most goals then he needs to be getting points offensively or he is being carried.

And no I wouldn't. Giroux was Reason 1 in my mind flyers lost. As a captian you can't let yourself be a non factor for the first 5 games and expect to win.

Find one other article or person or anyone really that uses +/- as a determining factor to how someone played.... Honestly, please do it. I read a lot of hockey articles/blogs and you are the only person that uses it and thinks it means anything.

Again... his team is still in the playoffs and 9 hours from going up 2-1 in a series. What is wrong with how he has played? The goal is to win the Cup right? I don't think they give out an award for most post season points but I'll be sure and check on that. As long as the Pens keep producing secondary scoring and winning games I don't care if he scores another point the rest of the playoffs.

You should take up golf... you like meaningless stats and individual performances.

Speaking of struggling...I seen Giroux shot a 9 over par yesterday on the golf course. With all early spring practice he's got the last few years, I expected more out of him. Maybe this summer he won't get a splinter from his club and miss all the preseason and a few games.

I do think the Pens played extremely well and I said that :) someone on this forum just posts every game that crosby looked amazing and I just question how?! Because me and a lot of hockey fans are wondering if he'll show up for his team because the rest of the pens are there! Even after game 1 aoki said sid was awesome and fans called that analysis out here! I'm sorry that you mixed up my opinion of how the team is playing and how their captain is playing. He isn't playing amazing but the team is.

I'm talking specifically about last night's game.... if you don't think he played great hockey I've got no clue how to have a conversation with you going forward.

Did you just learn how to use the emjois? Stop.

Did he play good? Yes but was it AMAZING? Nope.... If the goalie and defense weren't awesome his effort would be a loss with no points, again

If if's and buts were candies and nuts we'd all have a very merry christmas.

Defense starts with the offense... not just the defense... so his awesome offense helped contribute to the win, right? Or do you want to spin around in a circle and throw out some other pointless statement?
