yes they scored, but the game was never close. They essentially got a participation award. Berlin will roll over Meyersdale, they will roll over CT/NB, then lose to Clairton by 20-30. Just facts ladies and gentlemen.youngbuck wrote:OK so I know that a d5 school finally scored on d7 last year but what competition has Berlin faced all year that prepared them for the speed and athleticism that Clariton has ? It has been a long time since D5 went to a western final. Pretty sure everyone in Berlin knows what lays in wait for them.

The score was 36-24 going into the 4th quarter

It seems Clariton messes around with a lot of teams going into the 4th but then blow them away. They have another gear and know when to switch it on. It might bite them eventually but it won't be against Berlin.

What was the final score? Not being a jerk, but even though Berlin was only down 12, it seemed a lot more than that. Kind of like when a team only wins by 2 scores, but the game was never in doubt.12HankQB wrote:The score was 36-24 going into the 4th quarter

They take the wrestler's approach. When a wrestler is really good, odds are he doesn't get a good workout with guys on his team during practice. So there's times when you'll see a good wrestler take a much lesser wrestler into the third period. They do this to get some work in. Then they'll promptly put the kid on his back for the pin.GoldenRamsFAN wrote:It seems Clariton messes around with a lot of teams going into the 4th but then blow them away. Hank, I like you. You seem like a cool guy. Someone I'd get along with even. But I've had a goal of retiring for 15 years now......I type this while sitting in my office at work. Some goals never happen, those would be called fantasies.12HankQB wrote:365 days with one goal in mind

Like I said Hank I hope Berlin does win since I'm a Portage grad, and its nice to see the Westpac do well in the playoffs. With that said I'm also a realist and know Clariton is better in every aspect of the game. I GUESS IF BERLIN DOES WIN SOMEHOW IT WONT BE AN UPSET SINCE THEY ARE BOTH UNDEFEATED!!!!
