I look for Richmond to knock off Wisconsin in the first round. Man, I love the UNDERDOG :cheesy: . Also, you said that Pitt got no respect from the pollsters. Well, I think you can add Wisconsin to that list. Since they won the Big 10 tournament and got a 6 seed. I guess if they play, it'll be a battle to see who really deserved a better seed.

i did add wisconsin to that list. but your right, it should be a very slow paced game because both play the exact same type of game.

wisconsin has gotten plenty of love from pollsters since they are ranked 10th in the espn/usatoday poll. its from the bracket makers they get no respect. i see the wisconsin/pitt game as a toss up. you keep saying that pitt has done nothing. i think wisconsin has done just about the same. illinois is not the same team from last yr w/o bill self and winning in the big ten is not much of an accomplishment. both teams will be playing w/ a chip on their shoulder, assuming they both get there.

max kellerman left ATH b/c he wasnt getting paid enuff. i liked him cuz he would always fight w/ people and rock the boat. stat boy just seems to be a tool.

Pitt did a lot this season. They played UConn three times, beating them once at home, and losing to them twice, buy only by one three point shot both times. And that's with one of the games in Connecticut. If you look at the AP Poll, the 'Weak East' currently has UConn, Pittsburgh, Providence, Syracuse, and Boston College in the top 25. Pitt has beaten all of those teams at least once. As well as collecting as many wins in a regular season as any other team on the map. So I see Pitt going to the Sweet 16 this year, but I honestly have Oklahoma State going to the Final Four, after beating St. Joseph's. Yeah, that's right, I have the Hawks going to the Elite Eight. If they lost only once to a very pumped up Xavier team in the Atlantic 10 tourney, then they are a very good team. Everybody's entitled to a bad night now and then.

i agree w/ most of what u said there fleaflicker. one thing does bother me tho. i dont think it is appropriate to see the two losses to connecticut as accomplishments for pitt. they got beat. they wont be involved in any blow outs b/c of the tempo in the game they establish. their wins are close and so are their losses. speaking of close wins, they played a very avg. ucf team tonite and couldnt do much against them. pitt will be beat by wisconsin if they play the way they did friday nite.

I heard that they didn't do much good on Friday, even with the win. Scoring 53 points is not the way to win a basketball game unless you have the best darn defense ever. Pittsburgh may have that, but still, if they play like that, they'll lose to darn near anybody any good. Maybe they'll wake up and play against Wisconsin. But still, winning 18 straight and playing UConn really close are good signs, for Pitt. No loss can be called an accomplishment though, if you're supposed to be as good as the Panthers are. We'll see come tomorrow.

UCONN is sitting pretty nice right now. The top half of their bracket is
#8 Alabama vs. #4 Syracuse. In the bottom half, UConn gets #6 Vandy.

Gonzaga killed me...

Kentucky is losing by 7 with 19 minutes to go. Also, Pitt is losing by 2 to Wisconsin.

Well, Pitt finally proved they should've been higher than a 3 seed. Ham was wrong. :cheesy: Wisconsin just couldn't make the big shots when they needed to. Pitt will have a very tough next game. If they don't play a lot better than they lately, Oklahoma State will blow them away. It should be a great game.

i dont know that pitt should have been higher than a 3 seed. there are a lot of good teams ahead of them. it just happened that they lost their last game before the seeds were set. they did prove a good many people wrong by beating a quality team in the big dance. wisconsin didnt get it done at the end of the game. what was that guy thinking taking a long 2pt jump shot being down 3 w/ 5 secs to go???

ok st. is gonna be very tough for pitt. they can play physical on defense and can also hit a lot of shots. i think pitt will finally meet their match when they play jon lucas and the cowboys on thursday nite.

its a good time to be a citizen of huskienation. they have played good so far in the tourney, not their best tho, and i would just love it if they could play syracuse in the regional final. that win the orange had over uconn earlier this year was a fluke, and okafor and company will get revenge given the chance.
