CR experienced a collapse at the end of the season. Only those close to the situation could explain what happenned. Someone dropped the ball. It sure would be nice to hear an explanation.

Ancient Enemy, if you would read all the posts, pretty much everyone that made a post from Ridge admitted that we would lose. I'm from Ridge and I admit it too. We do not have Troy Harris or any guy close to that hence the reason as to why we'd lose. If CR would have played Bedford towards the begining of the season, it would have been a great game (we'd still probably lose but it'd be interesting), which I believe Foghorn already said. Towards the end of the season, CR lost it. Their season went straight downhill. I don't know why exactly. But please, do not rag on the Ridge people. We are not praising our football team...we are showing some support and school spirit and giving our guys confindence. After all, it's just lately that our football team has started having good seasons.

Could the reason their season went downhill towards the end of the season have been because of the quality of teams they were playing?

Probably is. But is the fact that Ridge plays these schools their fault? Ridge could probably compete in just about every other sport in the Laurel Highlands, yet we shy away for the one reason of football. I, personally, would rather have a so-so season in the LHAC, and feel content knowing we have played out our season with the best competition in the area, and potentially some of the best in the state.

Because that is the only way it will happen, and the last time I looked we still have a Congress.

If there is enough interest by the people in the community then it can happen.

However.

Just entering the LHAC will not make CR a better football team. There are a list of things that need to happen in conjunction with that.

1. Is there a commitment on behalf of the School District and its people to support a high flying HS Athletic program?

2. Do you have a top to bottom, or bottom to top coaching staff in place that "really" wants to win at the state level?

3. Will the extra travel required by being a member of the LHAC be something the school district will be able to handle?

Points 1 and 2 are the most important part of the equation.
